The San Palace Hotel is on the edge of the old quarter a d within a few minutes walk to train street. Multitude of food and attraction on the doorstep. The rooftop pool and bar a great oasis after a busy day on the streets. Staff went out of their way to help wherever they could.

If you are looking for a hotel and or an agent than Daff is your go to. She gave us local information and useful tips for traveling around Vietnam, helped us to organise Ha Long Bay tour, Ninh Binh, Sapa, Hue, Da nang, Hoi An and Mekong Delta Trip. Our trip was seamless and very enjoyable. The hotel is clean with a contemporary touch, rooms are spacious with toiletries Weekends the roads are closed so scooters and cars are banned so walking is pleasant Breakfast is very good we couldn’t get enough of the fresh fruit

We liked the area of the San Palace Hotel as it was very convenient to shops and restaurants. We also like to walk everywhere and it was very central to many of the sites we wanted to see. The staff was fantastic and very helpful and friendly. They were one of the highlights. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. A nice breakfast was served in the mornings with eggs made to order. Rides to and from the airport were arranged by the staff on our behalf and worked out very well. I would recommend staying here while visiting Hanoi.

Lovely hotel but far too noisy!

Location was pretty convenient however, er on the side of caution with balcony rooms. We recieved a free upgrade to a lovely large balcony room however unfortunately it's extremely noisy with road noise. You will 100% require ear plugs to sleep and still likely be woken up multiple times. The doors do little to keep the noise out. Old Quarter during the week is busy until 10pm and then still has enough honks, beeps, sirens and garbage trucks and bikes with their loud vocal speakers. They start up again at 630am too so don't expect to sleep well. I would recommend the hotel invest in some double insulation windows and doors, it would make a world of difference in the comfort. We also found the bed a little too firm for our liking. The sheets covering the bed didn't really fit properly and would easily come off and become wrinkled under you.

Great stay in the heart of Old Hanoi

We stayed here two nights, one when we arrived in Hanoi from the U.K. and one when we arrived back from our Ha Long Bay cruise. Both times the staff made us feel welcomed and were extremely friendly, accommodating, courteous and overall lovely. We would recommend staying at L’Harmonie to anyone visiting Hanoi for a short or long stay, our room was comfortable and the air con great, the location is 10/10 and the breakfast was hot and tasty.
