"The front desk staff did not request identification—only my last name—before issuing a room key, which raised concerns regarding guest security. The room itself felt quite dated and is clearly in need of refurbishment. Additionally, both the sink and shower drained poorly, resulting in standing water after each use. While the carpet initially appeared clean, that impression quickly changed when I dropped an earring and had to search for it. In doing so, I found crumbs and debris on both sides of the bed, suggesting the room had not been thoroughly cleaned following the previous guest."

"This property was very nice., Host was very accommodating and let us check in early so we didnt need to haul our luggage around with us for hours. My only issue was the not the host fault, but the location is not best area. Probably the cost was so reasonable."

"This was a great place for us to stay while visiting our child living in nearby Wicker Park. Excellent communication with owner before and during stay. Thoughtful touches like coffee, tea and snacks were appreciated. No problems at all parking right out front, and also very walkable to restaurants, cafes, movie theater, etc. We would definitely stay again."

"This unit truly is a hidden gem in the area! My wife and I stayed in this unit on a recent trip to visit some of the Chicago museums. This unit did not disappoint. Having 2 teenage daughters often means 2 separate hotel rooms or the girls doubling up on a bed and complaining about it. This unit gave us 3 beds amongst 2 bedrooms giving the girls space and us parents privacy, and barely cost more than one hotel room by itself. The location is a very short walking distance from the L station, so leave you can leave your car behind when headed to the attractions. Honestly, this will turn into our "go-to" place to stay when visiting. The unit was clean, spacious, and provides every amenity. I found the apartment to be well decorated and furnished. Ample seating was available for our group, the kitchen had anything we needed, the host was communicative, and the water was hot in the shower. Honestly, it felt like home away from home. If you are planning a stay in Chicago, this place definitely deserves a look. Free off-street parking! Local restaurants and shopping within a 3 minute walk! Quiet and comfortable!"

"Parking is either street parking or the garage which is pay to park which is the same for about any where you go in Chicago. Breakfast was pretty standard but the muffins were amazing don’t know how they keep them so moist but definitely recommend trying them but they only had them out on weekday mornings. The room was nice only down side was the bed sheets kept fighting with them every night to keep the corners on. Also the gym had a nice water fill station and if you need to do laundry bring $5 in quarters because the hotel doesn’t keep change on hand. "

"It is clean and very basic. Up a flight of rickety outdoor stairs. No blackout blinds or curtains so very bright at night and next to highway and train so very noisy. But if you don't care about any of these things its a good value for the money."

"Let me just, you get what you pay for. The space itself was accommodating enough for me and my sisters. We were able to make it work for our stay. However, there were a few downsides that are worth mentioning.The bathroom wasn’t very clean upon arrival, which was very disappointing for a group of women. The two twin beds were uncomfortable. Parking was also a major issue. One night we came back and spent nearly an hour driving around trying to find a spot. Because of that, we ended up taking an Uber the next day just to avoid losing the parking we finally found.Late at night, there were groups of guys hanging out on the corners when we returned around 1am. No one bothered us at all, and we didn’t feel frightened or threatened—just something to be aware of.The Pro of this property is that it was centrally located, took us 15 minutes to get everywhere.I tried not to rely too heavily on the mixed reviews when booking, but in hindsight, some of those concerns were valid. Overall, it’s a decent option if you’re on a budget and don’t mind a few inconveniences but we wouldn’t stay again. "

"The Property was beautiful! When we walked in, the first utterance out of our mouths was "Wow!" Street parking was easy. The room "The Chalet" that we stayed in was spacious with many amenities and was spotless. The bed was very comfortable as well! And being on the third story, we got our stair steps in for our trip! Haha."
