The Loki Bluff House sits on a bluff with sweeping views of the Shipping Lanes, Whitbey Island, Edmonds across the Sound, and the entire Cascade Mountain Range - the most spectacular sunrises await early risers!
The huge deck is perfect for taking in a meal, relaxing, whale watching, seeing herons fish in Puget Sound and bald eagles soar above.
2 Bedrooms, 2 baths, the large family room and deck give 1600 sq ft to stretch out. A gas fireplace provides ambiance and warmth upstairs, while the downstairs has a wood stove insert to make even winter nights cozy.
Grab the binoculars and watch the multitude of boat traffic, from cruise ships to tug boats to fishing and sail boats, and even the occasional submarine! In the March - May evenings, the frog chorus is a reminder that you're not in the city any more. Swallows or other small birds like to nest in the bird houses in front of the kitchen windows between April to June providing a unique perspective of the local wildlife. Walk 1/2 mile through lovely Point No Point Park to explore the beach and light house. Turn the lights down and enjoy the twinkling lights in the distance or the moon's bright reflection on the sparking water. Away from the city lights, you can seemingly see every star in the Milky Way.....
While the city is not far away, this house is located in a rural area. The last 200 yards are dirt road. It has a septic system and is on a well. You may hear coyotes at night.
A new water filtration system was installed in 2021/22. Additional drinking water is provided in easy to change 5 gal hot/cold dispenser.

Staying here was a dream, better than we could have imagined. If it wasn’t just a tad too out of the way, we would have loved to stay for much, much longer. That view is pretty unbeatable.
It is very beautiful view with a nice quiet neighbors. Our host, Lydia, is very helpful and respond promptly to our needs. My friends and I enjoyed our stay.
I took a trip with my wife, daughter and her boyfriend out to Hansville and the place was amazing. Beautiful views of the Pugent sound off the back deck! We saw whales and vald eagles just by sitting around. Truly Amazing! Lydia our host was always quick to respond and extremely helpful. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

. am amazing!
Great beach house getaway for my wife and I for my bday. Host was easy to communicate with and the property was amazing. The sweet neighbor dogs were a great bonus to the amazing view.
This is our second time at this wonderful property. It is so peaceful and relaxing but has a spectacular hiking trail to the beach within walking distance of house. Highly recommended.
What a great place to crash and refuel for a few days. The views were awesome and we spent pretty much all the time on the porch. Lydia was super quick in her responses.
Lydia place was perfect for a several days of relaxing with abundant nature all around (e.g., old-growth forest, Puget Sound beaches, bird sanctuary). The house was clean, spacious, and comfortable - and the views! We hope to return.
House and property were as advertised. Owner/property manager was wonderful and the property has everything we needed/wanted. Views from the deck are gorgeous and the property is convenient to everything. Would definitely use again.
Another incredible weekend! The house and location are wonderful. Lydia is an incredible host. On top of all that, the local bald eagles put on a show right over the water, right off the deck.
Amazing deck, Puget sound views for miles. Perfect moonrise and sunrises. We could see Rainier!! Nice path to the beach. Awesome low tides. Recommend highly

Wonderful setting to relax. The water view is amazing - always something to enjoy!
We loved this place! The view is incredible and the deck was where we spent much of our time, watching the sailboats and cruise ships saunter by. Living and kitchen area is bright and sunny. The owner has made things very comfortable for her guests. It’s a quaint, country atmosphere with quiet neighbors, close to the beaches and lighthouse. We will definitely be back!

Great weekend away!
The house was great, kitchen well equipped. Loved the view! Lydia is a wonderful host, very timely communication. Be aware that in addition to the $500 damage deposit there is a secondary damage deposit required, or the purchase of an alternate damage insurance policy.
This home is in a great location for an Olympic Penninsula vacation. The owner communicates well and provides helpful information. The home has all the basic essentials plus more. The neighbors are pleasant. The view is spectacular. During our week we saw eagles, seals, Orcas, and more right from the back deck. Very relaxing week.
We needed a much deserved getaway after a long. Summer with family issues to deal with. This was exactly the spot for peace and calm!! Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay in such a wonderful neighborhood ❤️ we hiked down the Point no Point trail daily! We will return for sure! It was so hard to leave!
Grand view of Sound, ships, sunrises in comfy home
Well organized vacation rental, homey and comfortable. Lower level is like its own apartment. No beach out the door but nearby (15 min walk or drive). Towns 20-30 minutes away. Shopping 10 minutes. Drinking water from dispenser; former issues with well water solved. Not isolated but quiet; we felt comfortably "alone."
If you are looking for a fabulous unobstructed view of the Puget Sound shipping channel, consider this property. We greatly enjoyed sitting on the deck in the early morning drinking coffee and watching the traffic on the water, large and small. We also enjoyed walking the trails at nearby parks.
The house itself has a homey feel with new carpeting and furnishing that are in excellent condition. No sagging couches here! The kitchen and baths are reasonably equipped and the house is very clean.
We also appreciated the fact that the homeowner was very responsive and accommodating.
We stayed here for the Thanksgiving holiday as a quick getaway. The home was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The beach is a short walk through woods and allows for long strolls. We saw about 50 seals out in the water, an unexpected treat. It’s also a bird area, so lots of bird watching to be done. The view from the house is expansive and beautiful. We had a couple of small hiccups (mix up with door code and a short power outage) but Lydia was quick to respond and help resolve things. The power outage actually added to the experience - there were plenty of candles and we had a quiet, screen free family evening. It is important to note the well water, but there is plenty of drinking water on hand. Also worth noting, the downstairs shower is wonderful. We had a great visit and would definitely recommend a stay here.
We had a beautiful two weeks at Lydia’s place in Hansville.
The shipping lanes were what drew us to this retreat in Hansville, and they did not disappoint. My husband’s passion is photographing ocean-going vessels, and his days were full watching the paradade of ships pass our deck. There were only two of us, but the house would have easily provided a great vacation for a whole family. Lydia was very responsive and eager to be please while sharing her beautiful haven. She took our suggestions to heart for making her spot as seamless as possible. There is a lot of light coming into the upstairs bedroom in the morning, so late sleepers may want to choose to sleep downstairs. My husband is quite tall, so the short queen bed was uncomfortable for him, but we managed. The gas fireplace kept us cozy during the early summer chills we had when we first arrived. Overall, we had a very pleasant two weeks communing with nature and counting ships. Thanks, Lydia, for sharing your special place with us.

Disliked: Listing accuracy
Amazing views, nice house but needs water improvements.
My family of 4 stayed for 3 nights in July. The views are amazing, spending time on the deck in the morning with my coffee watching the boats and seaplanes go by was spectacular. So quiet and relaxing on the deck and the house is very clean and spacious. However there was a big drawback that we weren't aware of until just before our arrival date which is the water. The water has a ton of minerals (iron?) in it which makes it undrinkable so you have to use bottled water. The owner provided a starting supply which was very appreciated. However, I really feel the owner should address the water issue and fix the problem or make it known on the listing description. It's not just remembering to use the bottled water when making your coffee or getting a drink, there is a significant unpleasant smell when taking a shower. And similar to how the minerals in the water have turned the bathtub and dishwasher a orange/rust color, after 3 days of showering & washing hands in this water I noticed my skin/nails had turned a slight orange color as well. :-( For one or two nights no biggie, but be aware if you plan to stay longer. Also there is a neighboring rooster that starts making noise not only at the crack of dawn but all morning long...keep the windows in the bedroom shut. The owner is super nice & attentive so I feel bad complaining but I just think the water issue is significant enough to mention. Sorry!
Wonderful! Enjoyed our time here very much. Gorgeous views. Easy walk to beach and lighthouse. House had all we needed. Lydia is a great host and easy to communicate with. Hope to come aga.
We stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend. The house has beautiful views of the Sound and shipping lanes. Sunrises were magnificent! It was a beautiful, cozy place to spend the long weekend.
The owner was very responsive to communications and responded quickly when we sent messages.
