Oasis in desert.

Calvinia hotel was like an oasis in the desert. Comfortable, cool and comforting. We had to book for our return trip as well.

The overall impression of the hotel is old and that it needs attention. The wals need paint, the screws of the door handle needs to be tighten, the water pressure of the shower was bad, there was a smell of sewage in the backyard. The new tiles in the bathroom were poorly fitted. The bath showed wear and tear.

Rooms very spacious, clean and great firm kingbed. Very sumptious buffet breakfast. Swimming pool on 2nd floor overlooking main street. Will definitely go there again on way to northern Cape.

Hôtel could bé nice but aging. Swimming pool empty (of course). There are better option on Calvinia. Same for the restaurant.
