Mountain Cabin in the Woods, Near Wineries & More!

Relax or find adventure in this 4 bedroom house/cabin situated in the woods. Nearby activities include historic Harpers Ferry National Park, the Shenandoah River, historic Charles Town and Shepherdstown, numerous wineries and breweries, Hollywood Casino, shopping, hiking, fishing, cycling, and more.

The house has, among other things, a fully-equipped kitchen (plates, glasses cookware, cooking tools, air fryer, etc.), WiFi, 2 smart HDTVs , a BBQ, 7-seat hot tub, smart speakers, and a fire pit.
The space
House was completely gutted and remodeled in 2021.

House is located in a wooded neighborhood, in a private setting. You can see neighboring houses only from window in living room. Otherwise your views are of the woods and country roads.

Spacious, great hot tub, comfortable beds. Linens, towels and coffee included. Lots of room to spread out! The host communicated well and made the check in and check out process easy. There are a few areas of the cabin that show wear but nothing that bothered us or hindered our stay.

Great getaway

Our family really enjoyed this cabin. It was comfortable and in a nice location for hiking and visiting Harper’s Ferry. Our kids especially loved the hot tub!

Great girls getaway location

Lovely property with plenty of room to spread out. Beds were comfortable and we appreciated the multiple bathrooms. Nicely remodeled. Hot tub was a plus!

Wonderful weekend

We had an amazing time. The house was perfect, just as advertised & Scott was a great host. We loved the many thoughtful touches he provided, like extra chargers, snacks & a wonderful book full of recommendations for things to see & do & places to eat. We would definitely visit again & recommend to friends.

Hiking haven

We came up to stay the weekend and complete the One Day Hike. We enjoyed the hot tub, comfy beds, and amenities provided by our host. The home was clean, comfortable, well appointed and convenient to our hike and the surrounding area. We would definitely stay here again. Working with the host was easy, quick responses, and he was super friendly and helpful.

Girls' Weekend

We had a great girls' weekend at this cabin! The space was perfect for our group with plenty of room to relax and unwind. The location was ideal, offering a beautiful, peaceful setting, and we especially enjoyed the hot tub! There was a nice basket of items if you left something behind. That said, we did experience a few issues with cleanliness. We found some mouse droppings in one of the cabinets, the floors could have used a bit more attention, and there weren’t enough kitchen or paper towels provided. These minor issues didn’t detract from our overall stay, but a bit more attention to cleaning and supplies would make this place even better. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would consider staying here again!

We were very disappointed with the unkept yard…. Loose railing on the steps, door handle leading to very unkept hot tub area …. Photos on VRBO add….are very deceiving!!!

Sister's Weekend Getaway

My sisters and I stayed here for our annual Sister's Weekend Getaway. The location was great as there were many things to do nearby. The house was neat and nicely renovated and the host was very responsive to my communications with him.

Great Owner/Property

Scott was excellent to communicate with and always responded immediately. The rental was perfect for 6 adults and he was above and beyond with providing amenities. Check out was fast and easy. My family cannot say enough great things about Scott and his rental. I cannot recommend this property enough!

Beautiful Home close to many attractions

This rental is wonderful. The host provides great comments and lovely suggestions on things to do if you are not sure what to see while you stay. Just park-unpack and relax and enjoy this beautiful home. Everything you need and more for your home away from home get away. The hot tub helps you unwind after a day out touring the area. Plenty of games to choose from to keep the family time going. Would highly recommend making this your next getaway destination.

Lovely cabin nestled in the woods

Scott was perfect, helpful in every way. And the house was beautifully nestled in a grove of trees in the woods with a lovely hot tub. The house itself was laid out beautifuoly, was clean, and so courtesous to leave sone snacls, coffee, and the like....plus some extra charing cords for those like me who forget them all the time. Definitely going back

Lovely getaway for family or friends

Lovely, clean cabin in the woods. We (group of friends) had such a great time. The stocked kitchen, linens, towels, and “just in case you forgot” box made it easy to just show up and relax. Host had great recommendations before the trip and during. Hot tub was clean, beds & couch comfy, dining table for 6 plus bar seating. We only travelled out to the pizza place because we live in the area and can experience hiking and wineries any time. If you’re planning to visit all the local wineries, be sure to have a DD to navigate the mountain roads!

The pictures are not a true representation. No closets in bedrooms. Balcony, fire pit, BBQ, hot tub were not usable. Porch, patio, and fire pit furniture were dirty and unusable. Electrical wiring in the house is questionable. I would not recommend.

The house was clean and the host answered message right away. There are a couple things people should know. Artifical scented plug ins were in the house. This was a problem until I found and unplugged them. I can't be around those types of scents as it causes migraine type headaches. The front yard is overgrown weeds. At first glance I was disappointed at the sight but it was just along the road. The house was nice. We didnt use the hot tub due to weather.

Disappointing

Disappointed in condition in the property. The pictures on VIRBO doesn't reflect the actual place. The cleanness of the inside was average. A lot of work needs to be done.
