Hotel is in good condition. Building decor is dreary with all grays. Rooms need better lighting Staff is excellent and very attentive. Hotel is off highway and quiet. Not much scenery but an easy 20 minute drive to Hershey

Generally speaking, the hotel was fine. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The rooms are huge. We booked for proximity to Hershey Park, and there are good restaurants within 10 minutes. There are a few things we didn't like, though none are complete deal breakers. The breakfast wasn't that good, but it's good enough to fill you up and get you on the way. The housekeeping for the room wasn't the best. There are dispenser bottles for soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Our room had 2 conditioners and 1 shampoo, no soap. A friend's room had all empty bottles. Same friend also said the closet had what appeared to be dirty sheets on the floor in the closet. Lastly, the indoor pool while appeared clean, felt dirty. The pool floor was very slippery and didn't feel like it's been properly cleaned.

We stayed a week and were supposed to get refresh service every two days. We were told this included changing garbages, exchanging linens, and making the bed. This was not done without us making numerous requests to get it done. Staff do not appear to be cleaning much of anything. Stairs and walkways were dirty with hair and other debris. Breakfast lacked fresh fruit; after having black bananas out for a few days they did switch it to oranges. There seemed to be plenty of staff in the kitchen but the breakfast display lacked and customers had to ask for basic things. One positive was the fitness facility had a variety of free weights and machines which were in working order. We did request a call from the manager but never received one.

I always look for Marriott Hotels when we travel and love them. This is the first time we’ve not had a good experience. The staff in the office were kind and this is not for them, they were great… the room was gross. It was clear that a party happened there and they did not clean before we stayed in the room. Dirty carpets, showers were not clean, leftover decorations stuck to the ceiling, and mystery material spilled on the cupboards. I almost considered leaving and forgetting about the money to find another place. Hopefully they can resolve the cleaning issues and make this the Marriott experience everyone is expecting.
