Quirky but adequate room. half decorated as the inside of an airliner. the other half badly in need of decent decoration. Lovely balcony and patio door and fine view.tiny kettle and cups confusing tv controls so didn't bother with TV.

Like hanging out with old friends
They adopted us like family. They were fun to be with and extremely helpful with all our needs. The building is old and lacks a lift. So navigating the narrow steep stairs can be be difficult. But the bartender was more than helpful carrying our luggage up. The town centre is a short walk and well worth seeing. It is the site where the Mayflower launched with the Pilgrims for America. And Blossom the cook makes incredible meals at a modest price.

A traditional seaside hotel, surprisingly well presented with rooms decorated to a good standard. Breakfast was exceptional. Made with passion! Perfect for our one night stay before catching the ferry. Would definitely choose again over the standard common hotels we all know.

2 night solo business
Only stayed for work in the area, I didn't use any of the facilities or eat there. Dated quirky place. I learned after my stay it had been on 4 in a bed tv show. It was OK for the cost.

Welcome back to the UK!
I stop at the hotel for an overnight stay, returning from one month travelling in the EU. I arrived at 8 pm and asked if I could have some dinner and I was told that it was a bit late for dinner!! However, kindly, she put something together for me. The food was actually quite good, basic beef stew and veggies, but tasty. I was served in the pub, where a large TV screen was showing a football match and some local man where having a pint or two. I didn't think that pub like this still existed in the UK, it sent me back to the 70', but not in a good way! Tatty furniture, fray carpet, badly painted walls, DIY everything. The same 'decor' was to be found throughout the place. My bed room, single on-suit, was tiny with a mish-mash of furniture from the local second end store (it seemed) and with some absurd details (fluffy rag on cover the toilet cistern lid!! A white DIY wooden frame around the wall light!)) and CH either at full blast or off. The breakfast (my choise was toast and jam) offered actually a decent coffee and very good granary bread. When I left I notice that on the front they are advertising "14 designer rooms"!! Definitely not mine....I had spent 20 nights on the road in 7 different EU countries, this hotel room was amongst the most expensive and by long the worst!

Cosy place to stay by the seaside
What I needed was a humble hotel to stay overnight and catch the ferry very early in the morning and a safe spot for my bike to park. All my expectations were fulfilled to my full satisfaction and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Not to forget to mention the fully equipped and full functional bar with a huge variety of liqour, rarely found in the usual run of mill pubs. I would always come back to stay when I need to catch a boat again to continental Europe.
