"This place was lovely, in a less touristy part of Moorea. The pool was fantastic, views on the beach were great, and a lovely breakfast delivered to our kitchen everyday. We did have problems with the air conditioner, but the owner went out of his way to ensure it was repaired (on a Holiday weekend—thank you!).
The room was a little cramped for a one week stay, but the outdoor kitchen was great. All in all a wonderful stay. Recommend you have a car to explore the area, and other, more inviting white sand beached."
"Small newer bungalows with an eager staff to please. Very quiet property. Kitchens in rooms so you can shop and make your breakfast at least. A little pricey ( but So is everything in FP) on the breakfast that you can pay for. Very quiet area of the island. Maybe I've been spoiled around the world but the reef on Moorea is not the greatest for snorkeling"
"Seriously a hidden gem on Moorea. The renovations are modern and lovely. The rooms are very sizable with a convenient and useful kitchenette.
The beach/swimming/snorkeling area is a standout! You have your personal coral reef with all kinds of beautiful sea friends.
Finally, the restaurant and bar are 5 STAR. Fantastic choices on the menu. We ate some of our best meals here! The happy hour sunset is a must. Some live music really added to the ambiance."
"Location and beauty of the property is excellent. Food and beverage were way below Hilton standard. Property is in need of updating. Fabulous snorkeling."
"One of my favorite things about Manava was the authentic Polynesian vibe. Beautiful place, wonderful staff. Loved being able to snorkel off our own deck - did a premium overwater bungalow for 2 days and private soaking pool bungalow for 1 day. It was fun to experience both types of rooms. The beautiful infinity pool was amazing. We just had a wonderful stay and would love to return again!"
"Our stay at Hotel Kaveka was made truly exceptional by the people, especially the front desk. We were so fortunate to be helped by Moa, who was a total wealth of knowledge. Instead of the usual tourist scripts, she gave us genuine, localized tips and clever hints that completely transformed our time on the island.
The hotel itself is charming, with that authentic Polynesian feel you just can’t find at the big resorts, and the over-water dining view of Cook’s Bay is unbeatable. But it was the warm hospitality—and Moa’s expert guidance—that made this feel like a home rather than just a room. If you want a stay that combines a perfect location with a team that truly cares about your experience, this is it"
