I gave a 4 out of 5 as a budget motel. Friendly staff. The single king room was very spacious. The bed was comfortable. The furnishings are dated. I appreciate that the mini fridge had a bigger freeze space than many motel fridges. I would give a 5 if they added breakfast.

Great night's sleep

This place was a complete relief to stay in. It was clean, well-maintained, quiet, and comfortable. Loved that there wasn't any carpet. The owner was really accommodating as well, providing a first floor room. Parking was right outside the door. This was the best night's sleep I've had on this trip. If I'm ever in Hawthorne again I will be staying here.

What a find! A hotel with quality construction. A real metal bath tub insted of plastic and nice ceramic tile in the shower insted of dingy plastic sheets on the walls. Jack the owner is really nice and cares about keeping his property top notch.

Amazing Hotel!!!

Fabulous place to stay! We were exhausted and came in at 1 am. The lovely gentleman at the front desk was so nice, and very sweet about answering all my questions. I highly recommend this hotel, beds were wonderful and hot water was plentiful.

Great little property. Nothing fancy, just a good simple clean room with little touches such as a heat lamp in the bathroom, a make up lighted mirror and a mini frog with a freezer. In passing thru again, we would stay there.

Hawthorne was a small town in decline. The hotel looked pretty bad from outside, but the room was clean and comfortable - probably the best in town. The only restaurant in town was a pizza parlor.

Nice Hotel for a Good Nights sleep.

Very Impressed with the Hawthorne Best Inn. The check-in process was simple and friendly. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower had plenty of Hot water which is nice in the winter and the TV was big and easy to operate. I will be back. Thank you,

Absolutely immaculate hotel. Easily the cleanest appearing facility in Hawthorne. Rented two rooms for the family and both were clean, well equipped and comfortable. Interestingly, on a random night in August the place is almost full. Probably as many people in this hotel as the rest of Hawthorne. Stay here with confidence. All good.

Limited motel options in Hawthorne Nevada and we are happy we chose this motel. The owner is wonderful and is very careful to make sure no pets or smokers make it to the non-smoking rooms. Not many food options in town, the Safeway grocery store has everything and the room had a microwave and a fridge. Before we left in the morning, the owner showed us one of the rooms that has been upgraded with new flooring, he obviously reinvests in his property. If we ever find ourselves driving between Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe again, we would stay here.

Check in was a breeze and the gentleman checking me in was very nice and efficient. The room, however, wasn’t as good as the other reviews led me to believe it would be. The biggest issue was the fact that the lock above the hand set was broken l. We had to put a chair up against the door. It didn’t feel safe for my daughter and I and her two young children.

The 2 things I want when I stay in a hotel: 1) a clean room with a bed and 2) a hot shower in the morning. The room was dated but clean. The shower knob didn’t work at all so the only choices you had was take an ice cold shower or no shower. When I complained at checkout, I got no apology but the woman pulled out a list of rooms with problems (there were 7 or 8 rooms on the list) and added our room number to the list. There were not many people staying there at the time, I would guess 10 rooms were full, so more than half of those had problems. I would NEVER stay there again and would strongly recommend others do not stay there.

Manager at checking was super friendly. Once he knew we had a Tesla he offered his charging port for free. Also the $10 fee for a dog is quite reasonable in relation to what we have been charged elsewhere. Great option when traveling between Reno and Las Vegas.
