Amazing - staff super friendly, rooftop terrace amazing, comfortable bedroom and cherry on top of the cake is the molton brown toiletries! Super recommend

Travelling through the pandemic my stay at the Chester hotel was a very confident experience. The staff where very knowledgeable and decontamination procedures within the hotel where very good. Very big and comfortable room. Very recommended stay if travelling to Heidelberg.

good modern hotel clean and efficient.. The room rate was reasonable except 8 euros for parking and then 15 euros for breakfast we went else where at half the price.

This was an excellent, modern hotel with almost all the facilities a traveller could want. The room was clean and large, the bed was very comfortable, there was a well-equipped gym, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The bar was great, as was the restaurant for the buffet breakfast. The only minor quibble we had was the lack of a fridge in our room, and coffee-making facilities. Other than that, it was excellent!

A little bit away from downtown but easy to get to by bus. Hotel was nice and very reasonable on price! Cool bar.

Bordering on rude
The hotel looks impressive when you first walk in but unfortunately for us that feeling didn't last too long. The front desk staff were very efficent but i certainly cant come close to saying friendly. In fact they were bordering on being rude. It was like we were bothing them by checking in. The room itself was your typical hotel room but of good standard. The location is not even close to being central if that is what you are looking for. Its a fair walk to any restaurants or into town or the old town. The wifi was strong and reliable. Next time in Heidelberg we will stay else where simply based on our greeting.

Lovely quirky hotel with very nice helpful staff. Very good breakfast as well. It was a bit out of the town but was easy to get in and out using the bus. The ouly reason I didn’t give it an excellent for comfort was the pillows.... but I’m sure had I asked they would have changed. Would definitely stay there again.

Hotels.com bumped me from my original booking and when rebooking messed up BADLY! They were atrocious with client service! Lisa - at reception for The Chester was amazing and worked hard to get things sorted. The hotel seems quite new. The staff are super friendly (for the most part). Breakfast is good and the lady who runs it (her name escapes me - originally from Cuba) can not do enough to make you happy! The hotel is a short drive from the city - parking is easy - be aware - you can only pay cash at the parkhaus.

Location is a bit far from main Heidelberg, in the middle of a college Campus. Nonetheless, facilities are excellent, as is the staff.

Das Hotel Chester ist für mich ein absoluter Favorit, wenn ich in Heidelberg bin! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist ausgezeichnet: Der Empfang sehr freundlich; das Hotel (innen und außen) sieht sehr schön und hochwertig aus; die Zimmer waren sehr sauber; die Badezimmer waren sehr schön; das Frühstück war hervorragend; die Dachterrasse hat einen tollen Ausblick.
