"The room was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. It would have been a five star stay for the price we paid except the phone check-in for nights was right by our room and we could hear everything, making it hard to sleep. I had to turn the fan on to mask the noise, but that meant the heat wasn't on and it was a cold night. "
"This motel is quite old. The rooms were simple and generally clean upon arrival. However, I have a couple of complaints. I was there for three nights (Th/Fr/Sa), and not once was my room made up. I saw the housekeeper on my way out Friday mid-morning, who was cleaning the room next to mine. I assumed she would clean my room, especially since she saw us leave. She did not. I came back around 4:15pm and noticed that the room was as I had left it (not made up). I asked the front desk girl (who was very nice) if I had to put the sign on the door that says "Please make up this room" in order for it to be made up, or if it was supposed to happen automatically. She said that it should have been cleaned automatically, but that the housekeeper had left for the day. She also said that she would put a note in the system to make sure the room was made up the following day (Saturday). When I was leaving for the day on Saturday, I specifically put the "Please make up this room" sign on the doorknob outside my room. When I came back to the room at 7pm, I noticed that the sign had been switched to "Do not disturb" ... and my room was not made up (again). The switching of the sign was not necessarily the motel's fault (or maybe it was... could have been a lazy housekeeper); it's impossible to know.
The other major complaint that I have is that the walls are SUPER thin. I could hear everything, and it was quite distracting and disturbing (babies crying, footsteps above, etc.)."
"AVOID THIS HOTEL. Save yourself the trouble, and pay $20 for a better place. How I wish we would have done that.
There are so many issues, not sure where to start. I will just list them off:
One of the exterior doors didn't work. The room we reserved (double "queen") had full beds, not queens. The bathroom door was replaced with a janky barn door that didn't stay shut, and didn't have a lock. And it was done very, very poorly. The shower water was luke warm. They have no pack and plays for kids. They never brought us extra bedding that we requested for our baby to sleep on. The phone didn't even work to call the front desk. Whoever was working on the night of April 16 was too worried about getting off work to help us. There is no sound proofing between rooms. The WINDOW on the second floor opens wide up, nothing, not even a screen, to stop someone from falling out!
Truat me, I could go on. The one decent thing was a warm pool, but that doesn't make up for how ridiculous our experience was. We seriously considered packing up in the middle of the night and going to another place.
I will never stay here again, and would never recommend this place to anyone in good conscious. You and your family deserve better."
