The property is set back and hidden on the side of a huge hill. We arrived after dark and had a bit of trouble finding it, but the owner quickly responded to my call and gave me explicit directions.
It was very rustic and designed with the surroundings in mind. The lower patio and the fire pit area appeared to have not been used in some time. The front patio was nice and roomy and there was considerable space for parking.
Inside was an inviting kitchen and large dining room table that sat up to six. Two dens were available but only one offered the large screen television so we spent some time in it watching movies.
There were four bathrooms and four bedrooms. Plenty of space for my family to stay; as well as, find space of their own when needed.
On the bottom floor was a bar, television, Foosball table and a dart board. They also have a washer and dryer.
Walking to nearby attractions is an option if you are in decent shape; however, the climb back up is a little steep.
We visited the nearby Falls, Big Daddy’s, Bodensee Restaurant, the amusement center, and several shops. Betty’s Grocery and bar was enjoyable and had many unique items to buy and taste. A band was playing in their Biergarten on Saturday.
Upon returning to the property at night, we felt at home and enjoyed talking about the time we had spent together.
I would highly recommend this place to any group needing a relaxing and an inviting place to rest after a long day of fun and excitement in Helen, GA.
