There was no running water at all in our cottage, as well as not hot running water in the bathrooms only in the shower. The pathways to the cottages were slippery and not at all well lit The hot tub cover was too big for our hot tub and made it very difficult and dangerous to walk by to the bathroom as well as not well lit. "Schöne Anlage, um ein paar ruhige Tage zu verbringen. Die Ferienwohnung ist zwar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und könnte hier und da mal renoviert werden. Sie ist dennoch gemütlich und man hat alles was man braucht, außer Geschirrspüler und Backofen. Kurze Wege zum Meer und Hundestrand und man kann lange Spaziergänge am Wasser machen."

"I stayed here for 6 nights with my wife and we really enjoyed it. The town is very quiet but it's a short drive to cities like Leeuwarden and Harlingen for activities. There is a grocery store in the next town over so it's a quick drive or bike ride if you need to pick up anything. Two bicycles are provided for use so I would hop on after dinner and explore the beautiful countryside. The property is spacious for two adults and very clean and comfortable. "We had a wonderful stay in Medenblik in this lovely holiday home on the Ijsselmeer. The house had everything we needed, including a lockable shed for bike storage, and the garden with decking directly on the waterway was the perfect place to return to after a busy day cycling. The area has lots to see and visit (as cyclists, we were spoilt for choice). We had a super week, and hope to return one day soon."
