"The hotel was fine, the rooms are quite small and have a bit of an institutional feel to them, not as nice as the pictures suggest. There was a damp smell in our room and strange smell in the communal areas. There is very limited space to put your clothes as no drawer space, we were there for 5 days in high summer so had quite a lot of stuff. The balcony was a big plus and we ate out there several times. I was disappointed that the bar was never open; the staff seemed confused when I asked. ...

"Campanile Hendaye is a convenient hotel for a one night stop. The reception staff are very pleasant and helpful. The room was functional and had coffee making facilities which was a bonus the only real let down was that the plug in the bathroom was broken and it wasn’t possible to have a bath."

"The swimming pool was out of order upon our arrival. We where given an email address to complain to and they only responded 5 days later!. When we complained we where told that the beach was 200m away. We had to go to the beach on a day that it was extremely windy and 37 degrees! We where never updated on the pool despite asking twice a day. We will never stay here again nor recommend people to do so. "
