My extended family and I stayed for a week. The house is as advertised. Easily accessible and close to many activities. Kids and adults loved the stream every afternoon as a great way to wind down. Loved our stay.
Incredibly clean, beautiful location and exactly as described. This cottage was perfect for a long relaxing weekend at the mountains. Host was very helpful, providing a long list of recommendations. We highly recommend and hope to visit again!
We had a lovely time at this property. It was very well stocked and was just an amazing setting. My kids loved the creek and the property was close to many of the activities we wanted to do (30 min or less by car) but was also very private and secluded. So many great memories were made!
We loved our stay at the beautiful little cottage. It’s tucked away on a quiet country road. The cottage was clean, stocked, and very well cared for. We enjoyed the fire pit and the rushing stream next to the cottage as well. Definitely worth the trip!
Our family stayed here while our daughter rode at Tryon. This is such a charming and unique house full of character. It's convenient to many main attractions, and we had a great time and a wonderful stay. The owner was very communicative and helpful throughout our trip. Thank you so much for providing us with a wonderful experience!
This was the best long weekend trip! A great place to get away and unwind after a crazy start to the year. There are several places shop, eat and get coffee. Chimney Rock, Black Mountain & Hendersonville are some of the places we visited and enjoyed! This cabin was quiet, cozy and very clean! We enjoyed every minute of our trip!
This was our third stay at this property and we love it. It was the first time with our grandchildren and we had a blast. They loved playing in the stream, catching fireflies, making s’mores over the fire pit, and the PlayStation. We will definitely return!
We absolutely loved staying at this little stone home. Listening to the creek was so peaceful. Everything we could possibly want was provided at the home. Owner was very responsive and informative. Best VRBO experience ever!
Spent 3 nights in this amazing home and hated to leave it. Location is great (away from crowds but still close to everything we wanted to see and do). Children loved playing in the stream out front. Communication with owner was great.
A group of middle aged ladies together for a college reunion. We had a delightful time. Property is exactly how it is shown online. Lovely and charming spot. Incredibly clean and homey. We all loved it.
We stayed for 2 nights. We checked out the little town and went to the Biltmore. Very conveniently located, but away from it all. Just relaxed in the evening and hung out. I highly recommend this home away from home where everything is supplied. It just doesn’t get better than this!
We love this cabin. Everything we need is available even though we bring our own. The place is clean and in a great location except for the road being in the front yard but we just ignore it. The little stream and the fireplace more than make up for that. Thank you for a great get away!
Our family needed a place to stay for the weekend for a wedding outside of Asheville, and this little cottage was perfect. Super cozy, well appointed, and the property is gorgeous. Our kids had a blast playing in the creek, and we all enjoyed exploring both the garden and the house itself. The kitchen is perfect for preparing family meals, and is very well equipped. The soaking tub was also a lovely bonus. The property manager was super responsive and helpful. We will be looking for excuses to come back for a longer stay.
Our entire crew loved this place. It was hard to leave, and the kids are already asking when we can stay there again! Lindsey seemed to think of everything as a host. She was super responsive when needed. The outdoor space was unmatched....listening to the rush of water on the creek while napping in the hammock- relaxation at its finest. Ten out of ten recommend this place.
The property was clean and well stocked with cleaning supplies, pots and pans, TP, etc. They had thought of everything. Even had small towels at front door to wipe the dogs feet when entering.
The house looked like it had been redone and was very comfortable.
This is a beautiful and cozy home. We were so excited to see it decorated for Christmas! There was a decorated tree and mantle decor. Classy and clean home on a beautiful property. We will be back!! ❤️
We had such a great time at Lindsey’s Place! It was the sweetest little cabin and was exactly what we wanted. We just wanted to escape the fast pace of life and be in the woods for a few days and that’s just what we got! The cabin was very central to Asheville, Black Mountain and Chimney Rock. The sounds of the creek were amazing and it was nice and cool in the little valley. I really enjoyed sitting in the hammock and reading.
If we ever come back to NC, we’ll definitely stay here again! Thank you for a great getaway!
This place was amazing! My family and I truly enjoyed it. The location is perfect. We were able to get out into the fresh air and hike in Dupont Park and Chimney Rock. We also did some shopping and eating in Asheville and Hendersonville. At the end of each day we were excited to go back and spend the night in this beautiful, comfortable place. We have already started talking about the next time we want to stay here. Love it! Lindsey was great and very prompt with her communication.
When we arrived, we found the home and property to exceed our expectations. The rushing stream and beautiful flowers were a pleasure each day. Our kids really enjoyed themselves. Love the two ovens. The soaking tub was such a treat after being outdoors hiking and exploring. Very close to Lake Lure and many other attractions. Nice selection of movies as well. We can't wait to book it again. It was so hard to leave. Thanks! The host is very responsive to renter's needs as well.
This is our first time staying here. We have been staying in the Henderson, Edneyville, Bat Cave area for about 8 years now. I was very impressed with this cabin. I love the area and the cabin was exactly what we want. All of the supplied movies, games and everything we need in the kitchen was awesome even though we didn't really need them since we really like to enjoy the outdoors. If I had one complaint, it is the power wires and the street being so close, but we overlooked that by the babbling stream flowing by. Thanks and we'll be there in October.
My only complaint is that the original listing has 'hot tub' as an amenity, and a large soaking bathtub is NOT a hot tub. This part of the listing should be changed. However, we spent a long weekend and the place was immaculate and we would absolutely love to visit again. The kitchen was very well stocked, the property is beautiful, and while I was disappointed there was not an actual hot tub, we did not miss it. The house is very close to downtown Chimney Rock, where we were able to find more than enough to do when the weather was nice. It was very easy for us to unwind for a few days for my wife's birthday and the host was so easy to work with. 10/10 would recommend this place!
Stayed at this property for 3 nights in October. There were 3 of us, all in our 30’s and 1 dog. This was the perfect property for us! Lindsey truly thought of every creature comfort in this cottage, for us and our dog. We especially appreciated that the back porch is gated, and the provision of dog bowls, dog blankets, a crate, outdoor lead, and dog towels. The cottage was clean and cozy and all the labels on switches made it easy to get comfortable quickly. We had a little trouble with the padlock on the gate when we arrived, but Lindsey answered our call (at 9:00pm even) and talked us through getting it open. The location is great, just outside Chimney Rock Village and a reasonable distance to everything we wanted to do (Jeter Mountain Farm, Sierra Nevada, Shoji Spa, and some great hiking). The outdoor fire pit was well stocked with wood, fire starter logs, lighters, and tools. And the indoor gas fireplace was perfect for movie watching and chilly mornings. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, comfortable and well stocked, and we could have made a gourmet meal with everything provided in the kitchen. WiFi was great, which is especially important since cell service is spotty at best. All in all we loved our stay and only regret not getting to stay longer!
