"Did not use laundry. Just beginning to learn about Hickory after recent house purchase. Rooms were very clean. Only complaint was the lack of hot water for a shower. All other amenities were intact. Staff was pleasant and there was actually hot breakfast at 8 AM. Kitchen staff was very attentive. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. "

"The property and room was beautiful. It was even better than the pictures! The lake views from the room were beautiful. The host was very helpful and responsive. It was our first time kayaking and it was a lot of fun. The area of the lake we were on was quiet, which was nice. The room was clean and the entrance we had was completely private. I would definitely stay here again."

"Considering the house had been used in a TV show, we expected it to be in better condition. The master bedroom had used soap left on the shelf and the power outlets didn't work in the bathroom or the bedroom. This was an issue throughout, as finding an outlet that worked was a game. The downstairs bathrooms had some damage, including a cracked mirror, and one of the showers was non-functional. Overall, the location and house are great, but having fire pits at the pool would be a nice touch if they worked. "
