"Gorgeous property. Phenomenal staff (especially Ali in the spa). The sauna and steam rooms are gorgeous! Breakfast was delicious and varied. Location was an easy 20-minute walk to the Old Town. My only complaint is that the bed was not at all comfortable. There was zero padding on the mattress, so it was much too hard for me."

" We stayed on the top floor, corner room (304?) of Villa Stari Grad. If you’re looking to step back in time (with all modern comforts), this is the place for you. Wind through ancient streets and enjoy the site of Forte Mare, built in the 1300’s, and St. Michel Archangel Church in Belavista square, both just steps outside the door. But the highlight of our room was the most amazing 180’ view of the Bay of Kotor. The castle is within view, as well as Igalo. The stunning snow capped peaks of Mt. Lovćen take the cake. One word of warning, no matter how you slice it, you will have to climb many stairs. Bring your good shoes, leave your roller bags and enjoy all the beauty of Hercig Novi. "

The staff were outstanding—friendly, professional, and always greeted us with a smile. Their service was top-notch. The only downside was that our room’s hot tub was faulty. Maintenance kept coming in and out, which was disruptive. It would have been better if they’d moved us sooner. Eventually, we were given a new room with a working hot tub, which was lovely. One suggestion: add covered umbrellas over hot tubs for rainy days. We had to stay indoors for days because we couldn’t use it in the rain. Other than that, everything was perfect. Worth every penny! "
