Relax in an artistically and stylishly furnished holiday apartment, once the teacher’s residence of the old stud school. Thick natural stone walls and fences enclose the 3,000 m² property, offering ample space and freedom for dogs. The peaceful setting amidst fields, paddocks, and woods is perfect for people and pets to unwind.



    The region offers a wealth of history, art, and culture, including the Wartburg Castle in Eisenach, the Bach House, Luther House, the border park in Herleshausen, and much more. Alte Schule Altefeld is a paradise for dogs: the fenced property provides plenty of room for your pets to play and roam. Numerous hiking trails lead through forests, across fields, along the Werra-Burgen-Steig, and over the expansive, natural landscapes of the former border area—ideal for enjoying the freedom of nature with your four-legged friends.

Wir haben ein langes Wochenende in der Ferienwohnung verbracht und die Zeit sehr genossen. Unsere Gastgeber waren sehr herzlich und haben es uns schön gemacht. Als kleine Familie (zwei Erwachsene und ein Kleinkind) hatten wir ausreichend Platz. Besondern gut gefallen hat uns der Garten, zum entspannten Ausklingen der Tage. In der Umgebung lässt sich genug erleben (Wandern, Städtetouren, Baumwipfelpfad, Barfußpfad, Burgen, uvw.). Da hatten wir für fünf Tage mehr als genug Möglichkeiten. Alles in allem also ein Unterkunft, die wir mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen können. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!
