Village Heights Resort

"It was our first experience in Crete and we loved every second minute. Staff were helpful and friendly. Pools were clean and service was excellent and food was tasty. There is a good service shuttle from hotel to town centre and the beach. We booked the sun bed for the beach via hotel (free of charge) and spend a day on Combro beach which was an excellent experience. We loved the resort swimming pools and sun bed and wanted to relax and stayed most days there but if you want to have more adventures they would guide you to book different tours. We can’t recommend the resort enough."

"We had a lovely week at the Abaton. All the staff were really friendly and helpful particularly when on departure I discovered I had left my straighteners in the room. The staff went above and beyond to locate them…which they did. We did half board which was really handy and the restaurants and food was amazing and in a beautiful setting. The hotel is in a great location and if you don’t fancy the pool there was plenty of beds on the beach. All in all a very restful week and the weather was gorgeous!"

"The hotel restaurant and cleaning staff were amazing—friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the front desk girls staff were not very welcoming, and some information and arrangements were not handled properly. For example, we received a card for a complimentary cocktail at 6 PM, even though they knew we had a 6 AM early checkout the next morning. If you enjoy a resort-style hotel where you can relax on the property, this is a good choice. However, there isn’t much within walking distance, so it’s not ideal if you want nearby shops, restaurants, or attractions. Overall, a nice resort with fantastic restaurant and housekeeping staff, but the girls at front desk experience could definitely be improved."

"Staff really make this place. Everyone working at Stella is absolutely outstanding! Hardest working individuals, I’ve met and super friendly. Go above and beyond. Food was great, the only thing I would say is the drinks let it down for me personally. Didn’t enjoy any drinks. Also bare in mind how cosy it is if you want to sunbathe on your deck if you have a swim up room. you literally have people sunbathing in front of you as there are no general pool just the swim up pools so people will be swimming past your room, look into it at all times."

"This is a beautiful resort with a gorgeous beach and wonderful restaurants. It’s very quiet and has a lot of families with young children. The rooms are spacious with nice balconies and I would stay here again if I ever go back to Crete."
