Love this place but it needs lots of attention

This place could be a gem with some love and attention. PRO:Our room was cleaned randomly over 3 weeks. Love the location and the view. Pool was ready. Fridge & stove worked. Plates & cutlery provided. Lisa,PR girl did her best with what she had to work with. CON: Needs maintainence and regular upkeep. No one at the reception ....... ever. TV will work IF you have a seperate wifi code AND you are a techie and can find where to enter said wifi code. I,personally swept and cleaned up the front entrance,it needs alot of attention to make it welcoming.. Hot water is best between 4-7 p.m. No recycling. We had to buy our own toilet paper for the last 3 days . Just needs cleaning up around the place, things put away instead of laying about and better management. . There is no one there to ask questions to i.e. how to work the TV, or if there was an emergency (plumbing,electrical) or any issue at all. Big language barrier with cleaning lady. Lisa would check in on us on the days she was there and then relay any issues we had to her boss. Bathroom showers need an update. If this place can get it together it will be a great little hotel.

What a wonderful place to stay, we had an amazing room with a breath taking view! The Hotel Owner is fantastic! Great communication and Service, he was very responsive and generous! Definitely recommend, can’t wait to go back!

Disappointed

Unfortunately the place was a bit of the disappointment, and after one night I booked somewhere else and left. Normally I am not that fussy with the small details, but too many small details added up which made me want to leave. Fortunately I think many of these details can be fixed. The photos look lovely but our room was a little dreary, the walls were very bare and it was much less welcoming. The little kitchenette still had some dirty cups in the cupboard when we arrived and the bathroom was half flooded and smelt like a gents toilet. The cleaner did come and clean up the bathroom for us and left an air freshener in there, but the smell did come back not long after, so I'd assume maybe a plumbing issue. The beds weren't very comfy, but I wasn't expecting much, normally I don't mind what mattress I sleep on. But I also booked this room as it was advertised with a double bed, which I specifically wanted instead of two singles pushed together, not very romantica. Our door would only lock from the outside, which we managed to just walk round from the bedroom door and lock, small detail I would have been fine with normally. The pool unfortunately due to it's placement is in the shade for a large part of the day, however it looked very clean and lovely. I think all these little details for me individually were fine up until the piss smell in the bathroom being bandaided with an air freshener. That was the final straw for me to leave and book elsewhere.

Hotel sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit, und fair. Die Einrichtung; zB Klimagerät, Fenster, Türen, usw, auch für ein 2 Stern Hotel nicht ausreichend. Betten sind ziemlich hart, aber wenn man es mag ok. Ausrüstung zum Kochen nicht ausreichend, TV war auch nicht angeschlossen.

Arrivée tardive mais non attendue donc avons attendu presque une heure à 3 heure de matin après appel du propriétaire Avons été installé pour une nuit dans une chambre faite par lui même et odeur de chambre non aéré et égout Avons du laisser nos deux chambres pour avoir nos chambres selon les qualités réservées balcon et vue sur la mer J ai demandé un remboursement sur cette première nuit et le prioritaire m a indiqué que je profitai de la Situation pour lui demander de l’argent (alors que non réponse à mon email et WhatsApp avant ce jour où je relance suite à un voyage de août !!!) qui est de mauvaise foi ! Donc non correct

Amazing vacation

We are a family with3 children,it was quite and nice hotel apart its a family business ,clean and the staff are very helpful . Lot of restaurants few steps away, The beach and city center are little bit far away ,but the hotel have another location with beachfront . We really enjoyed our vacations we will comback next year inchallah.

Proche de la mer néanmoins 15 minutes de marche à pied, beaucoup de boutiques à proximité et restaurants . Pas de volets donc jour assez tôt le matin .

Quiet, small block of apartments with lovely views

We were hoping for a quiet, peaceful holiday (without the children!). The apartments whilst basic have everything you need . If you have a late flight, are permitted to leave your bags and use the communal shower and toilets. We were allowed to keep the room with it being out of season which was a lovely touch.

Great seaview

Overall a nice hotel. We were staying in room 24. There was a sufficient amount of cuttelery, glasses etc. for 2 persons. The mattresses were quiet old and you could feel the springs. The room itself was Nice. The view from the balcony is also very nice. Cleaning could be better but sufficient.

Pas cher et bien situé

Nous avons passé 10 jours dans cet hôtel. L'hôtel est bien situé entre le petit village de Koutouloufari et Hersonissos (plage, resto, boutiques). Il y a également l'arrêt de bus à moins de 10 min à pied. Bon rapport qualité prix. La piscine est agréable, ensoleillé le matin. Les chambres sont propres. Seul bémol la lumière du jour passe à travers les rideaux le matin.

The hotel is on a hillside about 20mins from the beach. It is an okay place for the price nothing really special. The swimming pool is very small so i never swam in it but they do have ping pong table which sort of made up for when I did not want to go to the beach side.

A pleasant hotel for the price.

The apartment was ideally situated for the Koutouloufari village, and two others, which are just up the hill. The 3 villages are perfect for evening meals of a more authentic Cretan feel, with just a splattering of bars around. Mali is a cab ride away, thankfully. We found the villages more than enough to keep us entertained, and made the mistake of venturing into Mali for a livelier evening. It is exactly as you would expect. The apartment complex is small, and can be noisy as groups of younger guests come and go, but not too disturbing. The pool is lovely and private, but seriously needs to be cleaned daily. Cigarette butts and empty drink cans and bottles littered the area for the duration of our stay. The room was as expected. The only aircon area was the room with 2 beds, (extra fee for aircon) leaving the remaining 2 beds in main apartment area without. The lady in reception was lovely and very helpful, as we had to ask her for various things throughout the week, including bath towels as the cleaner left only hand towels for us. The biggest complaint would be the leak in the very small bathroom around the toilet. It was reported, but never resolved, leaving the bathroom constantly wet and the feeling of being dirty!

Buon compromesso!!

Hotel gradevole,i proprietari sono gentilissimi e disponibilissimi.Ovviamente non bisogna aspettarsi di essere al "Hotel excelsior ",però il rapporto qualità prezzo è buono.La stanza era abbastanza grande dotata di frigo cucina ,condiziontore a pagamento (5Euro al giorno) tavolo per mangiare,balcone e bagno (un po' piccolo). La posizione è vicino al mare (400m) e al centro città(700m),nelle vicinanze dalla parte opposta al mare c'è un supermarket(150m) e la zona con tanti ristoranti tipici grechi(400m).L'unico difetto della posizione è la salita che ti devi fare quando torni dal mare o dal centro perchè a piedi è abbastanza impegnativa(fatta una volta sola poi ho usato sempre la macchina,che vi consiglio di affittare sul posto ).La pulizia può essere migliorata...

Hôtel moyen

Séjour en septembre 2016 Hôtel globalement moyen, ce n'est pas du grand standing mais a la hauteur de ce qu'on attendait. La chambre état assez grande avec une terrasse + un balcon. Sensé avoir une vue sur la mer mais il y avait un grand arbre juste devant donc la vue sur la mer était plutôt sur les cotes. Par contre l'hôtel a une terrasse sur le toit plus haute que l'arbre qui offre une superbe vue. Personnel accueillant. Une panne d'eau chaude pendant notre séjour, qui a été réglé le lendemain, nous avons pu utiliser la douche d'une autre chambre en attendant. La climatisation de la chambre est a payer en plus, 5 euros par nuit. Jolie piscine mais ensoleillée tard le matin. Plage accessible a pied par une rue en pente.
