"Economical place to stay in Arlington for a long weekend. Room was clean but smelled a little damp and musty. Beds slept good and room was quiet with the a/c fan running. Breakfast consisted of a communal loaf of bread to make toast along with a tub of margarine and jars of jelly and peanut butter for toppings. A couple of different kinds of prepackaged sweet cakes were also available. Jugs of milk and juice were in a small refrigerator to pour and a coffee maker rounded it out. Room had a microwave and small fridge so we grabbed some microwaveable food from the nearby grocery store. 14/81 Bar and Grill is right next door with good food and entertainment in the evenings. Overall a decent place to stay if you want to be in Arlington rather than paying double to stay in Brookings."

"The Lake community is very happy and kind. They made our vacation experience worth every minute. The location of the house is perfect and the neighbors were very friendly, boaters driving by waived and we felt at home. The house was a disappointment…. It wasn’t clean, numerous things were broken, weeds everywhere, very few supplies (paper towels, TP, cleaning supplies, etc). Every VRBO I/we have been to, has some sort of direction book about the house, restaurants to visit and cleaning instructions when you leave. This location had nothing. Everything about this location seemed very thrown together."

"Property was clean and comfortable. Hot tub was great. No oven, so plan accordingly with meals. The downfall was having no access to the water from the beach. Dock needs a ladder."

"It was a cute old home, with all the charm that goes with it. If you are sensitive to old home basement smell, you might want to bring an air purifier. We arrived in the evening and out the door early, would have enjoyed more time."

"Super conveniently located apartment in a historic building. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. We were very grateful for the A/C I’m the 95-degree weather. Plenty of room to spread out, and a good homebase for our Laura Ingalls Wilder weekend."
