Very nice place to stay!

The house was very nice, clean and comfortable! Having the garage to keep our 5 motorcycles in was great! All in all it was a great place to stay. I only have one small complaint… Pull or trim the weeds near the garage and entryway.

Home away from home

We loved our stay. The accommodations were wonderful and the view was beyond spectacular. We did have one little issue, but the property manager helped figure everything out. The only downside to the property is the steep driveway, but once you learn to navigate it, it’s no big deal! We would definitely stay here again!

Great veiws and amazing cabin!

This place was beautiful and the view in the morning was just amazing. The owner was really nice and took care of us. The downstairs with the pool table was a nice edition we all enjoyed. Nice and cozy atmosphere. Secluded enough to make you feel like you’re on a retreat but still in the heart of the beautiful town of hiawasee! Definitely will be coming back!

Hiawassee Vacation

Great location!! But bugs on the ceiling in the living room. Only 4 of us stayed. Mold on the shower door in master bathroom. Also carpets need cleaning. But all in all a very nice place with a nice view! Enjoyed our visit. Thank you!

The house was as described. There were no mechanical problems with A/C, hot water, etc. Views were great from the outside decks. Not far from restaurants, grocery store, etc. Things to do on the lake were great. Public beach, pontoon/tube rentals, etc. Private and quiet and short drive to the above mentioned amenities and attractions. Helen, Brasstown Bald, etc. were easy trips.

READ THIS… it’s a good house, but could use some updates!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It’s a wonderful view, so close to town, but here are some things we wished we would have known ahead of our stay…1. There is NO ventilation in the basement. We all have allergies and two have with asthma, so the basement was just very stall. No air movement other than fans. It does stay cool-ish (which we were told via text when we arrived) but not comfortable. 2. It really needs a DEEP clean. We had a cleanliness issue when we arrived in the basement bathroom. It was full of black mold, however, with no proper ventilation, that’s a no brainer. The black mold was remedied, which was great. However, there were many times I was walking on the carpet and found a dead bug… that was crunchy because it’s obviously not been vacuumed well. 3. The dishwasher does not dry. So bring extra towels because you’ll be hand drying the dishes coming out of the dishwasher. 4. Also, there was a creepy amount of the closets locked. Every closet in the basement was locked. When you’re sleeping right next to a closet, it would be nice to just double check what’s next to you!Here are the positives:-plenty of silverware and cookware-a great amount of spices-gorgeous view -lovely landscaping-nice it has a garage-huge utility room -every room has a smart tv, which was great The dust pan was broken, so we bought one from Walmart and left it — enjoy! Overall, we enjoyed our stay, other than sleeping we stayed in the upstairs or outside because of the lack of airflow downstairs.

Beautiful setting, beautiful cabin. Roomy, clean, and very nicely decorated. Only one issue. Internet service just about non-existent, and television service was the same. Don’t plan on any TV watching, or internet WiFi. Only complaint.

HVAC is a big issue!

While we had everything we needed on the main floor, including heat and air, the downstairs had NO VENTS and therefore no circulated air. Our friends had to sleep with the window open (36° outside) and run a space heater in their room. Not. Good. I cannot imagine what the kids’ bunk room must be like. If you’re going to advertise as a 4BR, then please include all rooms in the HVAC system.

This rental was amazing!! It was perfect for our family of 8 adults. The highlight was the front porch with an amazing view of the mountains and a peek of Lake Chatuge. It is perfectly located to shops and restaurants in Hiawassee, as well as Bell Mountain , Brasstown Bald, and Helen, places we visited during our stay. It has a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. The laundry room is a bonus. I highly recommend this beautiful mountain home. We would rent it again and again!!

Fall vacation

The house was very nice and roomy. Great location. We did reach out to the guest host. A pack and play was listed as being available at the house. We could not find it…she didn’t answer and never returned the call…we made do. The owners should check the outlets…several do not work. Overall everything else was great.
