Located close to LR for easy access to and from the school daily. Home had everything we needed and was located on a quiet street. Only suggestion would be bed toppers or better mattersses, after 2 days the beds become uncomfortable. Stayed 4 nights.
Property was very nice for the age of the structure. Well kept yard, building, and interior amenities. Two lavatories were very slow to drain and reported to the Property Manager. We hoped they would be repaired during our stay, but were not (reason for 4 star overall review).
Extremely convenient location when needing to stay near the expo center for a budget-friendly option. Didn’t hear back when I needed help connecting to wifi and it was important for work but we reset the router and figured it out ourselves. No big deal. Nice place to stay. Lots of restaurants very close.
This property is in a great location. Its in town but at the end of a quite street. Clean lines and towels, trash bags, salt and pepper clean dishes its the little stuff that we thought was great. Check out was super easy which we appreciated. We came in a couple hours early to get ahead of a tropical depression as we were coming from the coast and Erin accommodated us early which was so nice so weren't having to float around town with our kids in the car. Its a great little property with tons of room to hang your clothes, store your suitcase we really enjoyed our stay. My Dad stayed with us having everything he needed access too on one floor was a must for us. Erin answered all my questions on that and he said he was very comfortable. It was great.
Absolutely cute property with comfortable beds and nice linens.
The cleaning and maintenance was very disappointing.
Cleaning products used left a strong enough odor that required opening all of the windows to air it out in 60 degree weather. (Our hostess promised to speak to the cleaning crew.)
We pulled out the two cookie sheets to warm up pizza but both were rusted but it didn't really matter because the oven had so much baked on residue on the bottom we would not ever have used it. Didn't think about using the toaster oven for the leftover pizza since it was pretty soiled as well.
It seemed odd that as guests we were requested to start the washing machine for our towels. It's normal to take out the garbage but doing the laundry?
All in all, the total price was comparable to staying at one of the hotels in the area (4 people, 2 rooms at a hotel).
First impression was wonderful! Unfortunately the property was disappointing in the kitchen detail.

Nice house, not for me
The house was very clean, nice smelling, and the owner left drinks and snacks on the table which I thought was a nice touch. The house exterior was nicely maintained, the neighborhood was just ok. The location was close to the main road and therefore close to a lot of things.
There were two things that I found challenging:
1. All the beds were extremely uncomfortable. All the bedrooms had mattresses on a basic wire bed frame; no box spring, headboard, etc. It did not feel good at all. Also, any movement in any of the beds echoed throughout the house; we could hear every move our teenagers made in their own beds across the hall. It was not a good night for any of us.
2. Communication with the owner was challenging; took a few attempts each time. I reached out twice; the first time prior to check in, and she said did not receive my message until I followed up the next day. The second time was after check in - I reached out to ask a question. I sent email, texted and called...she did not respond to any of those things but did immediately text after not taking the phone call. After some polite exchanges, she abruptly stopped engaging in the conversation; I assume she was annoyed with results (I was not able to find something that ended up being on the kitchen counter. From that point on, the only communication was the auto messages sent through VRBO.
We checked out the next day, a day early. Will most likely switch back to a hotel.
Perfect stay for a few guys on a golf trip. It was clean and comfortable. It was also very close to quite a few restaurants and downtown. I would definitely stay here again.

Havr stayed at multiple homes and this was very clean, good location, and roomy. My only ideas would be to upgrade bed frames (too antique to sleep on), dressers (too antique to use - knobs/handles falling off), and mattess could be firmer. Would stay here again if needed because the location gave us the ease to move around Hickory well.
We were in Hickory for a family event and we were very comfy here! Everyone slept well, the decor was nice, and we enjoyed the balcony. I had a couple of questions during our stay and the owner was super responsive. We hope to stay here again!
Had a wonderful stay here! My sister and I were greeted with snacks and water on the table (super cute touch). It had everything we needed: towels, soap, cooking utensils, etc. We had something go wrong with the hot water late one night, I called & they came & fixed the problem promptly. House is right off the highway also, so super quick access to things nearby. Great stay!
