If it's your first time travelling during the COVID-19 pandemic, you'll notice new regulations and rules in place. Take note of these tips and make your trip to High Country go off without a hitch:

• Investigate what rules and restrictions apply to both your destination and origin. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so make sure you check in advance.
• When you pass through airport screening, keep your face mask on. You will be asked to briefly lower it to confirm your identity. Anyone refusing to wear a face mask may be fined and denied entry.
• To decrease the risk of cross-contamination, position your boarding pass on the reader yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your pass directly to a TSA employee.
• TSA is now allowing passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on bags. This will need to be removed from your bag at the X-ray machine for scanning.
• Empty your personal items from your pocket, such as your small change and phone, and place them in your carry-on rather than the bins. This will minimize handling during the screening process.
• Separate any food you have for X-ray screening. Placing it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA agent to touch and inspect your belongings.
