Nestled in the Haliburton Highlands, Sunset Point offers an idyllic retreat with crystal clear lakefront views. Stroll down 30-40 gradual stairs to a floating raft and enjoy swimming or sunbathing on several spots around the cottage. The cozy cottage features a fully equipped kitchen, Muskoka room with dining area/lounge and den, BBQ with propane line, fire pits at water's edge and beside the cottage.

WELCOME to beautiful Sunset Point waterfront cottage!

Welcome to Sunset Point, a 4-season lakefront cottage with over 250 feet of crystal clear, weedless waterfront in the heart of the Haliburton Highlands!

Our 2-acre spot is perfect for an extended family or a small group of friends. Esson Lake has a limestone bottom which naturally purifies the water. Water depth off the dock is approx. 12-14 feet in early summer so it is great for diving down and swimming over to the floating raft. There is no gradual shore. Natural landscaping allows for more sunbathing spots in sunny and shaded areas. There are approximately 30-40 gradual stairs leading down to the dock.

The cottage itself has a renovated lower level complete with fresh paint and vinyl plank floors throughout (2022), renovated bathroom and newer dock ramp (2021), newer front deck, newer metal roof, all new siding, soffit and fascia, fully equipped kitchen with brand new dishwasher, microwave, fridge and newer stove, cozy bedrooms with storage and the ‘piece de resistance’ gorgeous Muskoka room with dining area/lounge and a den. Our antique dining table seats 6-8 comfortably (extra chairs are available). BBQ with dedicated propane line. There are several spots around the cottage to enjoy a bite outside or simply to lounge. Fire pits are located at the water's edge and beside the cottage. The WETT certified wood burning stoves on both levels heat the cottage in addition to the propane furnace for cool nights and autumn days.
