A decade of summers in Highlands. A wife who loves it as much as he does. Three kids who've grown up knowing these mountains. And then one day, a decision that probably sounded crazy at the time and turned out to be one of the best they ever made.

That's how this lodge came to exist — not as an investment, but as a piece of a family's heart made available to yours.

Nearly two acres of mountain property, five bedrooms, three newly renovated bathrooms, a game room that will immediately become the center of the universe for anyone under sixteen, and a screened porch with a wood-burning fireplace that has a way of holding a group together long after dinner is over. Just minutes from Main Street Highlands. Close to everything. Far enough from everything else.

Room for the Whole Crew - Five bedrooms spread thoughtfully across two levels means no one gets a bad draw. The main-level primary suite sets the tone — king bed, mountain views, and a freshly renovated bathroom with a freestanding soaking tub and walk-in shower that earns its place in the daily routine. Two additional main-level bedrooms handle the rest of the group: one with a queen and mountain views, one with two sets of bunk beds that will require exactly zero convincing for the kids to claim. A newly renovated shared bath connects them.

Downstairs, two more bedrooms — one king, one queen — share another renovated bathroom and sit alongside the kind of lower level that keeps people from coming upstairs until someone calls dinner.

The Game Room Closes the Deal - A 65-inch TV. A foosball table. A Buck Hunter Pro arcade. A lounge area purpose-built for movie nights and family gatherings that run long. The lower level of this lodge is less an afterthought and more a destination — the room that appears in every text message sent to friends in the months after the trip: "You have to see the game room."

Screened Porch, Open Deck, Mountain Air - Step out from the living room and the screened-in porch wraps around you — ample seating, a wood-burning fireplace, and the particular kind of mountain stillness that makes conversation slow down in the best possible way. The adjoining deck extends the experience with two dining tables, giving the group options: sheltered meals on the porch or full al fresco immersion under open sky with mountain views in every direction. Both are the right answer depending on the night.

The Mountains Are the Amenity - Highlands delivers in every season, and the owners will tell you so from experience. Spring wildflowers and waterfalls. Summer hikes and swimming holes and gem mining with the kids. Fall color that stops you mid-sentence. The local rec center has an indoor pool and playground for younger children. Highlands Aerial Park is there for whoever in your group needs an adrenaline outlet. Old Edwards Inn and Spa is minutes away for whoever needs the opposite. Top restaurants and boutique shops fill the gaps in between.

The owners found something here that kept drawing them back year after year. They bought a lodge so they could share it. Come find out why they can't stay away.

    What our guests are saying…

"The home was incredible. We were in Highlands for our son's wedding at The Farm at Old Edwards. I generally don't like rentals, but I would definitely stay in this home again. It was super clean and felt very welcoming. My friend that visited me there, loved it also and intends to get a group together to rent this home. It was FANTASTIC!!!" - Rent In Highlands Vacation Rental Guest, Tammy M.
