Great vacation stay in Hill City SD

The suite we had for three nights had a western theme to the room. Great location to walk down town or access main roads to the many attractions in the Black Hills. Hosts made sure the accommodation were clean and comfortable for our stay. Friendly staff.

Nice place

Very nice people just believe they were spread thin with other commitments they had as well. Friend and I had to clean air conditioner as it was filled with dust build up. Nice room and I would stay again. Lisa did keep in contact with us to take care of towels etc.

Green Mountain was a nice place to stay. You could hear some of what was happening in the Caboose Coffee Shop, but it wasn’t terrible. And the coffee is excellent there! By far my favorite coffee of our stay in the hills. We forgot our own pillows and the ones provided were too soft for our liking, therefore didn’t sleep the greatest, but we still felt it is a great place to stay! Loved the “new feel”, super clean and the decor was very fitting!

The room was just perfect for the two of us. The location was easy to walk downtown Hill City, it was near the Michelson Bike Trail and the 1880 train ride. It was centrally located to get to Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse and other attractions in that Black Hills. Steve and Lisa were great to work with and they have a coffee shop connected to the rooms. Great breakfast burritos along with homemade pumpkin bars and other treats. We had the sandwiches that were also very tasty. We had stayed there a few years back and enjoyed it so that we booked it again for this past week. Our room was a western theme, very clean and comfortable for our needs. Great people to visit with and helpful in answering any questions.

What a delightful space for one or two people. I loved the tall ceilings, very large bathroom, and the location. You have everything you need, especially if the plan is to be outdoors most of the day. Yet there are games, videos and ROKU if it rains. The coffee shop right there is a delicious way to start your day. Then it is a wonderful retreat to kick back in for the evening. Many restaurants are within walking distance, the Mickelson Trail is a very slight walk, and Sylvan Lake and Black Elk Peak are not a far drive. The hosts are wonderful, welcoming and accessible. Highly recommend!
