Tranquil Creekside Cottage in the Heart of the Beautiful Black Hills

Cottage #6 at Storm Mountain is a newer handcrafted log and rock cabin nestled in a beautiful meadow on Spring Creek. The cabin is situated right next to Spring Creek. Guests of this cottage will enjoy the creek frontage view right from the hot tub. The cabin features a full spacious kitchen with breakfast bar, loft, great room and patio with picnic table, Hot tub and barbecue grill.

Conveniently located in the Heart of Hills just one mile from Hill City. We are in close proximity to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park and an excellent variety of restaurants, wineries, breweries and shopping nearby. Cabin is across the highway from China Gulch Road giving easy access to many ATV/UTV/Snowmobile trails,

Well appointed cabin from bedding to kitchen. It was so cozy just as the weather was turning. The hosts were fabulous about helping with a couple of questions we had! Highly recommend these hosts and this location.

Its a very nice home with a nice view. The younger children were super excited to sleep in the "loft". The home has a nice layout for the whole family to hang out. There is plenty to do in the surrounding areas. We had a wonderful weekend getaway!

We loved staying here. The property is excellent, the location is quiet but close to Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, and the other local attractions.

This was our first big vacation with my side of the family and we had a blast. The cabin was amazing and was perfect for us. There was plenty of space inside where you didn't feel like you were on top of each other. The kitchen was perfect for all of our breakfasts and lunches. We really liked the patio with the awesome view. My kids loved seeing all of the wildlife that would go by towards dusk. It was a awesome experience and one we will not forget!

Beautiful Cabin and property

The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The hot tub was a favorite with the adults and kids. Perfect home for multi-generation family vacation. The creek in the back and the property were beautiful. Close to Hill City and all the area has to offer. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Great trip with friends

We were in Hill City for a wedding. The cabin was well stocked, quiet, and had ample parking and a hot tub. It was close enough to town to shop, but far enough out to be peaceful. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. We would stay here again if we are in the area.

This property was a fantastic fit for our family. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to see including Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and Custer State Park. The owners were wonderful to work with and they made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely look at staying here again if we make it back for a future trip.

Family fall break

I highly recommend this cabin in the hills! The location is so close to Sylvan Lake and the Needles Highway (a must visit for us every time) but still close enough to get back and forth to Spearfish Canyon for a hike. The cabin itself was spotless and the kitchen is stocked with any cooking pot/pan/gadget you could ever need. 10/10.

Black Hills Vacation

Beautiful and natural setting.

This cabin is so nice and has all the comforts of a family home. Very good beds, well equipped kitchen, Clean linens. We had our daughter, son in law, and a 1 and 4 year old who had the upstairs to themselves. Barely heard them. Will consider returning!

Fall Break in the Black Hills

My family (me, hubby and 9yo daughter) had a great week in the cabin. The cabin is beautiful, spacious and very well stocked. We had everything we needed for a week’s stay. Love that it is centrally located to just about everything we wanted to do. Would definitely stay here again if we’re out this way and will recommend to friends/family. Family Vacation

Beautiful cabin! We received a call on our way that we could access the property early. We were sight seeing on our way so we didn’t make it in early though. We stopped at the Walmart about 20 min away for groceries but there is a market right up the street from the cabin. It is exactly as described/pictures and very clean. It’s in a great location, near all the sights and activities. We enjoyed the grill and the hot tub too!!

Would Stay Again

This was a great cabin to stay at. Are only 4 star was for the listing as it was listed as having 3 bedrooms but instead the third “bedroom” is an open loft area which for most won’t be a big deal but if you have younger kids that may be difficult. The balcony off the upstairs bedroom was awesome and became part of our morning routine each day. The owners texted us on day one and had great communication the entire stay. The cabin is easy to get in and out of and is in the middle of the big attractions so a quick drive to anywhere.

Excellent communication with the property managers. They answered all my questions promptly, and notified us that our cabin was ready ahead of schedule so we could check in early. The cabin was very nice and looked just like the pictures. It was in a good central location for all the activities that our family wanted to do while we were there.

Best Place Near Hill City

The owners, Bridget & Randy, have a beautiful cottage near Hill City. We loved the place. It was so clean. It was beautifully decorated. They have thought of everything. It is close to Hil City but out far enough to see the wildlife. We got to check in early which was a huge bonus. We highly recommend this rental and plan to visit it again soon.
