We started out our stay walking into a mud covered entry and hallway. None of the wood floors were cleaned. For what was double a reasonable cleaning fee, and apparent walk through by property manager, that is unacceptable. Good thing I had a mop with me (since we were staying 3 weeks) I wasn’t anticipating using it so soon after our arrival. The property manager offered to send someone to clean the floors, however they were already done by us. She stated that she had just been in the house and it was fine (wrong answer). All 4 garbage cans were full when we got there. Obviously Waste Management had missed the pick up the day prior. My husband contacted Five Star Properties and was told someone from their company would come out if the next pick up was missed. It was missed…yet the conversation was like it never happened. The property manager Meredith tried to blame the garbage company, complaining of bad customer service; but really they weren’t any better and didn’t fix our problem. We had full cans for 6 days. If you’re calling yourself Five Stars then please give better service. The house itself was comfortable. Master shower could use an extra scrubbing (moldy), and living space furniture could use a deep cleaning, as well as kitchen. The views of the golf course were amazing. Overall we liked the home, but would never rent again if the same property management was listing it. Worst we’ve ever had in many years of renting.
