We stayed at the Daiwa Roynet Hotel Himeji for one night as a stopover to see Hemiji castle. The hotel is in a great location - about five mins from the train station and about 10mins from the castle. The area around the hotel was great with shopping and dining options. The staff at the hotel were excellent and we were able to store luggage prior to check-in with no hassles. The room was clean and probably the biggest we’ve had in our two weeks in Japan. The shower was amazing too!! The biggest downside was the bed - it was so hard it was like sleeping on a kitchen table!!

We loved this hotel! We booked 2 rooms next door to each other, great location with hundreds of fantastic restaurants and stores around. Best location! About a 5 minute walk to Himeji station. We had the Himeji castle view, and how beautiful at night when it lights up! We would stay here again.

Excellent location close to the train station, and 20 minutes walk to the castle. Loads of places to eat nearby. Room was clean and tidy, would recommend for a short break

Better than a business hotel. We had a room with a view of Himeji Castle. Easy walk from Himeji Station. Right next to the commercial street.

Very good quality, close to Himeji castle. The only downside is that it looks like Himeji isn’t very lively at night, but that has nothing to do with the hotel itself!

Overall I am happy with the stay. The room is clean. The staff are friendly. The price is reasonable. The only thing can be improved is that there is iron machine for trousers but no iron for clothes. We have to borrow from the reception but it wasn't available. Please prepare more irons.

Location- if is around 10 minutes walk from the JR station. It is mainly flat road. Easy for luggage too Room size- well a lot of Japanese hotels are small given the reasonable price and convenient location. It is okay for a solo tourists though it is a double bed. Staff: nice and friendly Environment- there are a lot of local shops and convenience stores nearly (walking distance). Only 10 min walk to Himeji castle. How we my room is near the street. It is quite noisy and I couldn’t get a good sleep Others: the bed mistress is rather hard. Given the noise outside, I didn’t have a good sleep

One of the nicest hotels I've had on my 2 week stay in Japan. The bathroom was excellent, the room was spacious, staff was courteous, and the price was good. Its only a 15 minute walk from Himeji Castle.

Great place for a stay
It was really nice. Front desk staff were kind and accomodating. Room was clean and had a massage chair. Was nice to relax after walking around Himeji. Coffee was nice too.

Near the world heritage
This hotel near the Himeji castle of world heritage 20 minutes by walking. You can see castle from room. This hotel is cleanness, spacious and comfortable. Price is reasonable. Only Disappointment is noisy from other room. But overall is fine.

Check in was easy, paid parking was available on site. Our room and bathroom were very spacious (compared to other Japanese hotel rooms). It was within walking distance of Himeji Castle, the train station, plenty of restaurants and shopping. We would stay again in the future.
