The deck at the restaurant is fantastic. The room I stayed in was small but pretty clean. Seemed like a fair deal. There were no staff on site but someone was helpful by phone and text. Stay for the view.

Clean room, self check in, air conditioning and heaters portable available. The restaurant on property open only since Thursday, so didn’t get to check it out , we were there on Wednesday. The walls are quite thin, can hear everyone through. Otherwise , very pretty views and nice balcony to sit on, beautiful lake side property to enjoy, especially off season.

The Showboat under went a major facelift several years ago. You still get a sense that it has been around for a while, however all has been freshly updated. Our room was over looking the west side of Seneca Lake and the balcony allowed for a fantastic view of the sunrise, an occasional boat and several bird species. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We reached out for extra coffee and “real” wine glasses to enjoy purchases from the many wineries in the area. The restaurant on the property has limited hours, but a great place to grab a burger. They were also hosting BINGO night when we dined on Thursday. We had never played and it turned out to be pretty entertaining while having drinks. In closing, we have stayed in other nearby hotels, but we keep coming back to the SHOWBOAT!

Nice size room and great view. Easy parking. Love the luggage bench. New outlets and USB ports were great! Cons: No breakfast and no where close to get it. Even some fruit-bananas and apples- would have been appreciated. No cook when we went for dinner. No grab bars! Accident waiting to happen! Nice renovated shower, but no grab bars ruins it. And where are you supposed to put towels? They were wrapped up nice on our beds, and I found out quickly why. No where to put them! Clean or dirty! You need hooks,hooks hooks! There are plenty of places! Outside of bathroom. Above the luggage bench would also be great! Bathroom is small so I see why small vanity. But not enough room for toiletries. A small table across from toilet would be helpful. No tissues. No creamer. Staff was wonderful! Several texts to see if everything was alright. I waited for these comments because they were so nice. And room and balcony and location were so great! With just a few improvements it would be perfect!

The hotel was exactly what we wanted. We had the king size room with waterfront balcony. It was nice to sit outside and see the beautiful lake. Bugs got bad at night but that’s what you expect with being lakefront in the summer time. We eat breakfast in the restaurant on property, buffet style. It was good, staff were very friendly.

We stayed dockside so we could see the water. Unfortunately room was on top of kitchen, so my bathroom smelled of old oil and music from staff was loud until I asked them to turn it off at 10:30 pm. Front desk was very helpful. No cleaning service unless I wanted to pay additional $35 per day
