The cabin was nicely decorated and easy to find. The host was very responsive and sent helpful directions and instructions ahead of time. There are lots of amenities not found in other cabins. This was a wonderful place to stay for our anniversary, cozy and quiet. I highly recommend and will definitely book again when I’m back in the area.
The location of the cabin was ideal for hiking and exploring downtown Harrisonburg. The house was clean & well-stocked with extra goodies! The host was communicative and instructions were clearly outlined. Would recommend staying here- thank you!
We were highly pleased with the cleanliness, amenities, and communication of the host. Perfect area, secluded yet many things to do hiking, fishing, etc & convenience store close. Dog friendly. Need to stay longer next time! 10/10 highly recommend.
This little cottage and its fabulous owners are a perfect place to relax and recharge . Clean and well appointed it has everything you will need . So close to town you can shop and visit local highlights and return to relax at the cottage. They have games and entertainment if you like to stay in. The host is amazing and very quick to communicate. Dont miss the opportunity to visit this lovely place.
The Haven was all that I had hoped for. It's nestled in the woods without being too far away from everything. The house is clean and comfortable. All the extra little touches are what really made it perfect, including the eggs, milk, juice, and other food items, chocolates, drinks and snacks, and outside items. I enjoyed sitting on the covered porch area and relaxing in the cool moutnain air. I will definitely be going back!
This was a really neat little cabin! It was well maintained, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was nicely stocked and had little extras to make us feel welcome (eg. pancake mix, a half dozen eggs, a few chocolates, etc...). We enjoyed using the outside deck and the firepit (which was already set up for us!). We would book again in a heartbeat! The only thing I would mention is if you book it, make sure you write down the entry code since there is little cell service up there (but once in, you can connect to their wifi for a good internet connection.)
We loved that the property was secluded and surrounded by nature. I love the fact that the grill was charcoal and not propane! We grilled out and prepared all our own meals. The 2nd bedroom was small and there isn't any closets in the bedrooms, but it worked since it was only for a weekend. I noticed the air filter needed to be changed. I have respiratory issues, so that is always a concern for me, other than that, everything was neat and clean. We mostly played games and socialized with friends, but we did spend Sunday a Cross Keys Vineyard to listen to the band and have some wine. It was a very nice and relaxing weekend. Thanks Sereda for your hospitality.
Great spot for relexation for the wife and I and our two pups with big firepit in the back. Decent trail options in the area for hiking and gorgeous overviews
Cabin is small but was perfect for the 4 of us. We had most of our dinner meals at the cabin. Not a lot of counter space but we made it work. Cabin was clean. The Host was very easy to get in touch with. Only about 15 minutes from Harrisonburg and with I-81 close by we were able to get around rather quickly. We road Skyline Drive and the leaves were just beginning to turn. It was a great trip! Where the cabin was located was very quiet & peaceful.
We recently stayed in this cozy cabin in the woods to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is beautifully decorated and has everything you need to relax and get comfy. Hiking trails are close, and we even found a good spot for our dog to get his paws wet and cool down from the summer heat.Communication with the host was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay, the peacefulness and tranquility of the woods, and we are looking forward to returning.
Lovely place. Our 5 year old declared the cabin “so cozy!” and had an absolute blast. The hosts take great care of their guests; lots of thoughtful touches throughout and a fridge full of bottled water. Sereda is very responsive if you have any questions. The location is perfect, halfway up a hill so you're looking out into trees - an excellent set up for bird watching from the covered porch. The cabin has binoculars and a birding guide. You're only about 20 minutes from a Walmart if you forget any necessities. The cabin’s furnishings are set up perfectly for relaxing. There's plenty of spots with lamps for reading and places to set your mug of coffee or tea. The table is large enough for most card or board games. We had a wonderful time and hope to return in the future.
This cozy cabin is just great. It has lots of little added touches with amenities. Important to us after a long drive is ice. There were two ice trays ready to go. Also the hot water is hot and the towels-and soaps are lovely. Everything you really need and more is supplied. Bottle water, coffee, pizza. We Enjoyed our stay. However, here is my review as a 75 yr old with a dog that needs to be walked. It is a mountain cabin as in its on a hill, not much flat land. Those first 4 steps are a little steep for those that have wonky knees like mine. We had a lot of rain which makes the rocky uneven yard slippery. Not too bad in day but at night made it tough to walk the dog. The porch is lovely but I would have liked gates at both ends to close so the dog could come out without a leash. Or maybe baby gates would work. Just a suggest. All in all I’m sure you will be happy with your stay in the Haven Cabin.PS be sure to pick up your food supplies in Harrisonburg before you come out.
