"Elite package is not worth the cost. Families that pay for Preferred status have access to the rooftop bar/infinity pool. They bring their kids up there and now your adult only stay has kids running amuck. Would be better if it were adult only, then you can relax and take in the view from the rooftop pool.
The elite side pool is quiet, yet lacked attendants for towels/drinks. You’re better off at the pool closer to the La Palapa outdoor lounge, without Elite status. Or the larger swim up bar/pool.
Our butler was MIA first day, but made up for it with extra Champaign and Chocolate covered strawberries while we were in our hot tub.
Time of year makes all the difference for a sparkling clear beach water experience. In Mid July, the water was yellow and full of seaweed.
A positive is there are much fewer guests, you can get a table at any restaurant, and staff is more eager to serve you."
