"Extremely unacceptable stay I booked through Expedia after relying on the positive reviews. Based on my experience, I seriously question the accuracy of those reviews. I traveled six hours, trusting your brand. Upon arrival, I noticed the continental breakfast area had dusty, dirty tables. When I entered my room, I was hit with a strong cigarette smoke odor despite signing a no-smoking agreement. I returned to the front desk, and the manager acknowledged the issue but stated the hotel and surrounding area were fully booked. He moved me to another room, which still smelled strongly of smoke, just slightly less. D/t time constraints and no availability elsewhere, I had no choice but to stay. Once inside, I found serious cleanliness and safety concerns, including: Heavy dust and dirt throughout Burn holes in sheets and comforters Smoke detector ripped from the wall and left in the safe Broken light bulbs with exposed stubs (electrical hazard) Dirty, stained lampshades, walls Cracked and deteriorating bathroom ceiling Unsanitary conditions, including human waste on the walls Damaged toilet seat with burn marks Loose, unstable faucet These pose clear health and safety risks. I felt unsafe and left early after minimal sleep. When I contacted the manager, he denied knowledge of these issues an"

"I was there for a sold out concert and was told I did not have a reservation even though I had all my emails and itinerary’s through hotels.com. They said without a seperate email from Red Roof with a confirmation number from them there was nothing they could do. A lovely stranger gave me a third room she didn’t need and they almost didn’t let me have that. They did, and then instead of my original price I was charged her rate of 3 times my original price. Almost seems convenient they can’t find the reservations made at the lower price. Thanks to the kindness of a stranger, NOT the staff, we had an amazing time."

"This apartment is in a great location if you’re visiting OSU’s campus or going to a game. It was not the cleanest, and felt very run down with stains on the floor everywhere and scuffs on every wall. There was not even a towel rack in the bathroom. There was not even a hand towel or bath mat in the bathroom. No trash can in the kitchen, just some bags under the sink we found. This is really a bare bones property. Fine for a short stay, but was very noisy outside in the hallway and in the surrounding area as college kids partied. I wouldn’t stay here again but it was fine for the weekend. "

"My vehicle is large and I was uncomfortable parking it in your parking lot. We were able to park on the street out front of the building. We found a cockroach in the sink. We named it Sam then promptly killed it. Our host Tom was amazing. He fixed a light and brought us a spoon. He responded very quickly. He is a keeper for sure."
