Ok this place was AMAZING! We stayed for a couple days and loved every second. If you’re in the fence about booking this hotel DO IT! The. Food is great, the bathrooms are nice, the beds are comfy, the views are breathtaking, and the pool is a 10/10. The staff was nice and friendly too! I will definitely be back.

Athena Resort is a fantastic unique hotel in Ninh Binh, the little house style accommodation feels like a home away from home and the pool facilities are expansive. The staff were fantastic including helping us to confirm details on sleeper buses we were taking to the next leg of our trip. The resort is standalone so is extremely quiet and tranquil with the small village of Tam Coc not too far away (20 min walk down a single road over the rice paddies), or a quick taxi / bike ride. Highly recommend!

Stunning hotel & great location!

Staff at this hotel are very nice and welcoming. Location is also perfect for exploring. Close to Tam Coc and surrounding attractions. Grounds of the hotel are beautiful and rooms are clean and very comfortable. Definitely felt like a luxury staying here and it’s very reasonably priced for the standard of hotel. So enjoyable we decided to extend our stay.

Beautiful Oasis

This hotel is a bit off the beaten path but quiet, and perfect for exploring Ninh Binh attractions. We used the free bicycles to go to Mua Cave. The property is lush and beautiful with waterfalls, koi fish, and plants everywhere. We loved the unique bathroom with an outdoor feel and the balcony on the water. Staff in the hotel were so helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay in this resort. We spent only one night but everything was awesome. The room is huge and beautiful. The staff is super friendly and highly efficient to help you optimize your stay in the region. You can borrow a bike for free. Restaurant is excellent. On the day of departure, we had to take a train at night and they offered us to come back to the hotel after our visits and stay by the pool and have dinner at the restaurant before taxi to the train station. Very greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this place!

This property has a lot of potential but completely falls short of even being a 3 star. There is a complete lack of detail in everything. The rooms meet the minimum standard of clean, meaning the sheets and towels are changed and trash is taken out, however they are very dusty, with dusty cobwebs everywhere. The mirrors and doors are covered in fingerprints and dirty smudges. The high touch areas, like handles, hair dryer and tv remote were greasy. Also, the towels were clean, but were very worn out and many had stains.

Poor overall!

We loved Vietnam, but this hotel doesnt do it justice. Was excited to splurge on accommodation in a 3 bed villa but was overall very poor. When checking in we were first told of a list that we had to check when wntering the room. If missing when we check out we have to pay to replace. Just started it off poorly. The room was ok and overall beytiful surroundings. Bathroom stunk off sewage and gradually got worse. Customer service was well below we had experienced in our time in Vietnam. On checking out we had to pay to 'replace' a dirty towel that could of easily been washed. Was only arounf 1.50 so just wanted checkout and leave. The towel was used to clean the kids legs after getting dirt on them from cycling. We highlighted how poor this was and didnt get a response. It wasnt hugely busy when there but the atmopshere was lacking in what could be an amazing hotel. Plenty of better options else where also close by, cheaper, better customer service and better represents a great country to holiday.

In no particular order, here are our issues. On two of the nights of there was loud parties going on till two or 3:30 in the morning when we attempted to call the front desk, but there were no answers. It’s a good thing we weren’t having a heart attack. The beautiful pond indicated in the photographs is actually a sewage catchment basin . Smelling as though you were sleeping next to an open sewer. The breakfast almost identical every morning with music playing on a loop every 10 seconds exactly the same sounds. The dinner definitely eat out elsewhere, the pillows cheap polyester poly fill almost as cheap as the sheets. The water pressure was great and the little open area next to the shower was sweet, particularly when the rat decided to make an appearance, limited shower facilities for a woman like no body lotion, etc..

Das Hotel ist wunderschön, sehr große Zimmer mit der kleinen Terrasse, das Personal freundlich und das Frühstück ausgezeichnet. Sehr ruhig Lage. Man kann Fahrräder ausleihen, um kleine Ausflüge zu machen. Leider sie sind nicht im besten Zustand.
