Poppies House is a beautiful, completely renovated 3 bedroom house, perfectly situated in the heart of Glenorchy.
This lovely house is presented to the highest standard and will please the most discerning guests.
Central to the house is a large, stylish, well-equipped kitchen featuring stone benchtops, coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave and large fridge with ice / filtered water.
The pantry is stocked with essentials and a complimentary starter pack on arrival.
The laundry has a washing machine and dryer, iron and ironing board.
Adjoining the kitchen there is a stone top dining table with seating for 6, and a beautifully equipped lounge with leather lounges, 65-inch smart TV, Wii console and games.
The kitchen opens out onto a spacious deck with alfresco dining and a large secure backyard.
Poppies House offers 3 bedrooms.
Bedrooms 1 and 2 have queen beds, smart TV, wardrobe, electric blanket, reverse cycle heat pump, bedside lamps and clock radio.
Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds, wardrobe, electric blanket, bedside lamp and clock radio.
The main bathroom has a large shower, toilet, separate bath, double vanity, heated towel rail and hairdryer
The second bathroom has a large shower, hand basin, toilet and hairdryer.
The house is heated and cooled by a reverse cycle heat pump

My mother & I had a comfortable stay. The house was clean & well presented.Had a small issue with the toilet flushing in the smaller bathroom but otherwise everything was perfect !

Spacious and Comfortable

Enjoyed sharing the spacious and comfortable area with our adult family that enabled easy meal preparation and relaxation. Great to be in walking distance to the supermarket and close proximity by car to the sights of Hobart and the surrounds. Comfortable beds and good heating that made for an enjoyable stay and would happily stay again.

Truly a home away from home

We loved our stay at poppies house. It was a beautiful, functional home away from home. We loved everything about this house, comfortable beds, 2 bathrooms, great big kitchen and lounge. Great enclosed space outside. We would stay at Poppies house again next time we are visiting Tasmania in a heartbeat

Home away from home

We had a very comfortable extended stay. Property was in a great location for us. Well equipped. Our kids loved the games room - spent a lot of time out there. A perfect place for us to finish our time n Tassie.

This was a really nice spot to find. I like that its close to the city but is still in its own nice part of the area with a good spread of shops nearby. Really liked the amenities and amount of space in the house. Only real complaint is that it could use an air conditioner in the two-bed bedroom and a slightly better one in the main room, as well as having some slightly more comfortable chairs at the dining table.

Great location

Beautiful house with everything you want for a short stay. Spotlessly clean and great location to shopping centre. Driveway can be tricky to navigate but didn’t distract from our fabulous stay. Electric bbq wasn’t working but the outdoors and games room was an added bonus. Highly recommend

Great House

We stayed for 4 nights in April and the house was immaculate and as advertised. We had 3 adults traveling and there was plenty of space for us all in the big rooms. The kitchen was well appointed and had the basic essentials for anything you wanted too cook. Added bonus is the games room out the back with table tennis, Pacman table top computer game and a large TV. It was only a short walking distance to the local shopping area and restaurants. We would definitely recommend this house and will stay again when in Hobart.

Hobart Autumn 2024

We had a lovely time in Hobart. The house provided a great base for adventures in our hire car and a lovely retreat and resting place when we got tired. We were particularly impressed with the practical layout of the house with good sized rooms, bathrooms, the living space and bonus rumpus room. It was immaculately clean with a well equipped kitchen for self catering. There was good grocery shopping in walking distance and all the main local attractions were accessible in a short car ride. We were there with our two children and mum in law.

Tassie trip

We stayed at Poppies House for seven nights in January. Clean and comfortable. Nice firm mattresses compared to other places we have stayed at. Very close to the local shopping centre and food outlets. The table tennis table in the game room was given a good workout by all of us. Incidentally both the properties we stayed at this time had a TT table. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this listing to others. The owners were kind enough to leave the air conditioning running on our check-in day which didn't go unnoticed by us. Much appreciated Mark & Miriam.

Good property with everything you need

We enjoyed our stay, comfortable with everything we needed. Heaps of tv’s, heaters & electric blankets. Driveway is quite difficult & on a sharp bend. No basketball ring as listed. Walk to shops etc. pretty good location 10 mins out of city so was central for what we needed for our trip.

Loved the home layout and bonus building

Poppies home suited four adults perfectly. The house has a good layout with a large kitchen and living space that closes off from the bedrooms and bathrooms so that early risers or night owls don’t disturb any sleepers. The bonus building was perfect for morning yoga and exercises as well as a game room. Very clean and comfortable with good communication from host. We could park very safely in driveway. The only slight difficulty was backing out from driveway onto busy road. Would highly recommend this comfortable clean home in a great location. Shops, restaurants and church were all easy walks from Poppies.
