"Not far at all from the Train station coming from Wien. Easily walkable, even with a little rain. Mirabellgarten is right nearby as well. As someone who walks frequently I was able to get to the Mozart locations, the River, the Fortress, St Peters, the Salzburg Philharmonic all by walking. Buses went by regularly and could of been an option. The room upgrade was highly appreciated and helped make this birthday trip that much more special. The breakfast was well assorted. The eggs one of the best had of any hotel, the bacon was perfectly crisp and the fruit fresh. If you're looking for the Orange juice or Apple it's there just in the Franz Josef bottles near the fruit. Due to time and other locations had to try didn't get to do the rooftop restaurant at night, but if the breakfast was a representative of what could of been, I'm sure wouldn't of been disappointed."

"This hotel is housed in an old palace. Our room was full of light, as we were on a southwest corner. It’s a short walk to the bridge into the old town, and is across the street from Mirabel Gardens; don’t miss the Dwarf garden! The breakfast was lovely and rooms were comfortable. "

"Nice hotel with an excellent location right next to the Salzburg Central Station. Also, everything is walkable distance from this hotel lot of choices to eat and shop. This is right next to forum one shopping mall with many choices. The staff at the hotel was also very helpful."

"Absolutely wonderful Christmas stay ✨ Cannot fault this hotel at all. We had such a lovely stay over Christmas. I was reluctant to book at first as the hotel is not in the centre of Salzburg and a lot of the reviews are from a long time ago, but it was the best decision! The hotel is in the middle of wonderful countryside, it’s so nice to be able to explore the city and then stay in this lovely little picturesque town. It’s so easy to get to, just hop on bus 150 to/from Salzburg and it takes about 20 mins. The buses are super regular (even on Xmas day!), cheap and really comfortable. The hotel is in superb condition, recently renovated by the looks of it and the decor is perfect. Our room was well furnished, super clean and we had a large balcony with a view of the mountains/lake. Breakfast is included and was top quality. We also went to the hotel bar on Christmas Eve which was lovely and the drinks were spot on. We didn’t use the pool/spa as unfortunately didn’t have time but had a nosey and it looked wonderful. All staff members were super friendly and if you get time to explore the surroundings you won’t forget it, they’re stunning. I honestly have no complaints about this hotel and encourage everyone to visit! I loved Salzburg but I’d come back just to stay here."
