The owners give a personal touch you would expect from a 5 diamond resort. One of the best stays we've had anywhere. You get great exposure to some Icelandic culture at this property. Pictures don't do it justice.

Lovely guesthouse in quiet, scenic region. Peaceful and felt remote, but not too far from excellent restaurant in Hofn. The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was highlight - local and homemade products and got to try a few things we hadn't. The owners were very warm and welcoming. Wish we had stayed longer.

Wonderful hosts

The hosts were fantastic and answered all our questions. The weather was unfortunately not great but our host recommend we travel eastward for the day as the weather would be nicer there, which it was. The breakfast was fantastic with homemade baked goods and smoked and spiced cured lamb made on their farm. The room and bed were very comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay.

Good stay. Staff was very nice. We wish there was electric kettle in the room to make tea at night. Coffee machine at the dining area was a bit far to walk at night in the cold and rain. BF was good.

This is one of our six stays in Iceland and is one of my favorite stays due to the extremely friendly and helpful owners who are a lovely family. The breakfast buffet was extremely good and they are starting to provide some dinners so long to let them know ahead. They are not too far away from the town of Hofn If you want to go into town and have dinner. our unit was very comfortable and had enough room for my husband and I to spread out a little bit and had good views. It would be helpful if they had a small fridge for those of us for traveling around the country to keep our food cold that we are traveling with, but otherwise there is no issues with this place.

Breathtaking scenery, delicious homemade breakfast

What an amazingly situated place to stay. In the middle of nowhere in the best way. Not far from Höfn but still a world away. The scenery and landscape that surround you are amazing. And the best part may be the homemade breakfast. In late August we were served skyr, hummus, tuna salad, and smoked lamb that were all homemade and extremely delicious (alongside the usual breads, jams, fruit, hard boiled eggs, fixings, etc). The room was also very clean and comfortable, a great place to rest and refresh. I wish we could have stayed multiple nights instead of just one.

The hosts here were extremely friendly and easy to talk to. They knocked on our door because the northern lights were in full display right above our house. Definitely a memory I’ll never forget, so thank you! The room was clean, check in was easy, and breakfast was good.

This is the best place we have stayed on our trip! Wish we could have spent more time here. The owner was so kind and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The beds are comfortable. Breakfast is a traditional Icelandic breakfast. It was great. They also have an awesome coffee machine. If you like dogs they also have the cutest puppy. Meeting her was a highlight of our trip.
