"The apartment was spacious and well appointed with dishes and everything else we needed. The location was beautiful and quiet. There is a nice patio right on the water. We did not have any direct contact with the owner, but got a message abutv entering upon arrival. The only other thing that would have been helpful was a map to show the property area. It was a bit confusing when we arrived to find the door to the apartment as we weren't quite sure we were at the right building. Overall we had a very short, but lovely stay. "

"The location was stunning overlooking fields and property had horses and chickens. Where we stayed had shared bathrooms. Never had issue waiting for it as they have 2 with showers and toilet and 2 toilets in the common area. Room was a bit small. But if you book the private bathroom options looked like it was addition of the building so newer and more spacious. Hot tub and sauna were a great added addition. We enjoyed common area and the breakfast. Front desk was helpful with providing recommendations. "

"We enjoyed our stay at The Herring House. Helga & Dagur were fantastic hosts. Breakfast was great: yogurt, breads, homemade jam, meat, fruit, juice. They kindly provided gluten free bread on request. The need was comfy. The room was dark and very quiet. We had a cabin with its own bathroom. Just be aware that the shower is outdoors and shared."

"If I could rate the staff 6 stars out of 5 I would. Amazing property in such a cute little town. Relaxed in the hot tub had a specialty cocktail enjoyed the breakfast. Will make sure to come back when we’re in Iceland next "
