"The room is exceptionally clean, tidy, and thoughtfully decorated. It truly made me feel at home. The location is excellent, with easy access to dining options and all kinds of shopping. A couple of small areas for improvement: It would be more convenient if the shower head were detachable rather than fixed. The milk in the fridge was expired and seemed to have been there for quite a while."

"Ash Grove was the perfect place for our stay. It is out of the way and rather private. It is not in the middle of Paihia but close enough that we could easily drive in to town to eat and go on our tour of the Bay. Even better, it was just down the road from Haruru Falls, which was spectacular. We loved going on a walk along the river. We felt very much at home in our little cottage. Grange and Bronwyn are fantastic hosts and do a fantastic job maintaining their property. I highly recommend Ash Grove Boutique Motel."

"All the staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is going through some renovations all for the better. We had room 8 which had been redone with lovely view to the water. While there was a hotpot for tea, would have appreciated a coffee maker in the room. Restaurant had great bar, steak, and calamari. "
