Ideal Apartment

This apartment felt like a private villa with use of its own pool. Great views from the balconies. Very spacious and quiet. It's a short walk up a winding road from town so you have to be aware of traffic when walking home from town at nighttime. Would highly recommend this property. Both the owner and housekeeper were extremely nice and helpful when our next property let us down. Thanks for a great stay.

Great holiday

The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and they’d decorated it for Christmas, which was so thoughtful. It was easy to find at night and there were even beers and milk kindly left for us! The owner’s communication was excellent and the cleaner was just lovely. We walked into town sometimes although we had hired a car (from the airport) as we wanted to explore the whole island, which we’d recommend. Everything was amazing!

Sweeping sunset views

Very spacious and well appointed villa with spectacular sunset views. The home is beautifully decorated. Kitchen is small but well equipped. Villa pool a nice bonus. Use of private beach/pool club a real benefit! Access to town/beach club requires a walk along very busy road with little or no sidewalks and very dark at night. Great communication with owners who also provided valuable travel tips. Wonderful home and location for your vacation.

Spaceous villa in safe neibourhood in Holetown

We had a great stay in March in Holetown. Booking process was excellent and the owner was very accommodating with check in/check out times. Villa was very close to shopping, food supermarket and several excellent restaurants. We were driving everyday to various beaches so did not use pool or closest public beach. Gibbes and Dover beaches are highly recommended! The cleaning lady who greeted us at the property and came in once for cleaning was absolutely lovely and helpful. Property has all need amenities including high speed internet and cable Thank you Julie!

Home with a view.

The property was very much as advertised. Lots of useful facilities that made our stay pleasent and enjoyable. The pool was a let down as it wasn't as well maintained as the property itself so we didn't use it. Bare this in mind if you stay there. Although we walked to the beach, a car/driver is desirable and necessary if you don't want to take the buses and taxis. I would definitely stay here again. We managed to get hold of some good, reliable taxis drivers Gregory and O'Neal.

Perfect Spot!

We stayed in this amazing property for a month, and loved every second. The host is incredibly helpful and available, and the property presents as it is shown on the site. It is in a wonderful location, where you can access beach, restaurants, a major grocery store, and great shops, all within walking distance. The pool connected to the property is an added bonus, and was always clean / immaculately cared for. The walk into Holetown is literally 8-10 minutes, all downhill. So keep that in mind, when planning your return home, as main roads aren't lit all that brightly. There are steps up to the property as well, so keep that in mind when determining suitcases and your stamina. It was an incredible location to explore the entire island based from, and I would highly recommend the property to all considering. The setting on the hilltop makes for mind blowing sunsets --- the best viewing spot on the island. Would go back tmrw!!!

Peaceful Retreat, Even Better than Expected.

A very high standard penthouse apartment, which is even better than the photos indicate. The pool was only ever used by us and was a beautiful way to cool down and relax. Its seems to be private to the penthouse although it's listed as shared. The balconies and view from them were superb and the apartment is light and breezy. We found no issues with not having aircon in the living area as the balcony and windows along with the fans provided a lovely breeze. Our bed in the master bedroom was amongst the comfiest we have ever slept in with the softest of linen. The accommodation is very well stocked and has everything we could possibly need, including a cool box which came in very handy. The walk down to Holetown isn’t the shortest, but it was fine. We managed to avoid walking back up to it in the hottest part of the day to minimise the effort! The pool area at The Beach House is wonderful. We've visited it many times in the past and still love it. Holetown has everything you need and is well located to explore the island. We are hoping to return to Villa Del Rey and can thoroughly recommend it.

Review for our Holetown Stay

Pros: Great location Pool was nice and we had it to ourselves. Lovely view of sunset from the balconies It is a large apartment with lots of space. Close to stores and restaurants Quiet neighborhood. No issues parking our rental car. Bathrooms are nicely appointed and updated. Dishwasher was nice. Christmas tree was a nice touch! Cons in our opinion: As it was stated in the write up we did find 3 dead cockroaches in 1 of the bedrooms. A mixup understanding that we were entitled to one day of cleaning for our 8day stay which could have been solved if Cyraline had our cell phone number, we were out a lot during the days so must have kept missing her calls on the home phone. Cyraline is not able to use the VRBO app which the owners used with us many times. All windows and doors have locks on the inside. Washer and dryer work but washer is rusty and softener reservoir needs maintenance. Still were very much appreciated for washing towels. The apartment is functional. Bathrooms are nice. Friendly suggestions: It is hot so AC in the main room would have been greatly appreciated at times. For safety reasons changing the approach to locking all doors and windows. Physical key locks on all doors and windows is certainly the best protection for the apartment but not necessarily its occupants in the event of an emergency that would require fast departure.

Wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment up on the hill in Holetown!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, spacious apartment up on the hill in Holetown! We felt very safe here and looked forward to coming back to it every night. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the balcony every morning while sipping coffee and catching up on emails. It was so relaxing, quiet and the wifi worked perfectly. Some mornings I would just gaze out at the water and watch the sailboats drift by. At night, it was wonderful to watch the sun set as the sky turned amazing colors! Most mornings we took walks, usually down to the beach and boardwalk which was less than 10 minutes away, but never at night as you have to walk on a busy road to get to the beach, shops and restaurants. I would say you definitely need a car while staying here unless you plan to rely on taxis all the time. We also used the inground pool on the property which felt so refreshing after all our excursions. We used to stove, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, French press, TV and landline and everything was in working order. You'll need to bring your own washing machine liquid but dishwashing liquid and pods are provided. And like most VRBO apartments, soap is provided but you need to bring your own hair products. There is a large grocery store at the bottom of the hill where you can purchase food and all your cooking supplies. There were enough pans and plenty of dinnerware and utensils. Since this apartment is on the 3rd floor, please realize there are many stairs to climb, but that's also what makes it so private. Julie the owner was fabulous to work with and she promptly answered all my questions. Cyralene, the housekeeper was awesome. She met us at the apartment the first night, did the weekly cleaning and checked us out at the end of our stay. She was also available anytime to answer any questions we might have had. Thank you Julie for opening your beautiful home to us! We loved it!

Beautiful property , great location. Lovely distant sea view from outdoor areas.

Beautiful. 2 areas for improvement. The pool remained Uncleaned and untreated during our stay. This was disappointing as I am a keen swimmer. The property lacked the benefit of a natural breeze. The living room was unbearably hot to work in , or relax in, as the air conditioning unit was disabled during our stay.

Lovely apartment, stunning views, great amenities

Rented quite last minute (as Barbados is popular in January!) but for a 3 bed, 3 bathroom (2 are en-suite) it is great. The views from the balconies are stunning. The bedrooms and bathrooms are comfy, very clean and have all you need. The master suite is beautiful. Kitchen has the utensils and cooking facilities needed and a dishwasher. Really easy to communicate with host and cleaner came and did a great job. The pool gets sun and is handy but we didn’t use much because of the stunning beaches all nearby. Can walk into Holetown easily and shops and amenities nearby. Really lovely stay . Thanks

Great location

We enjoyed the Holetown location and found it to be a perfect place as a home base to explore the island. Once we got over the higher cost of food on the island, we found many great nearby places to eat. We found the Bajan people to be very friendly and accommodating to visitors. We would definitely like to come back and rent the same apartment.

Close to everything!

We enjoyed our stay In Sunset Ridge very much. The sunsets on the balcony were amazing to watch, the house's proximity to restaurants, bars and shopping was ideal. We especially enjoyed the pool which we had exclusive access to as well as the facilities at the Beach Club in nearby Holetown. Cyraline, the housekeeper, is a sweet lady who was very helpful to us during our stay.

A perfect Villa for 6 guests. Very spacious, bright and clean property. We enjoyed our stay over new year and found the property very accommodating. Julie is brilliant at liaising with you and she has the most wonderful maid, Cyralene. The pool was such a surprise, the sun was on it all day and it was much bigger than we had expected. The pictures don’t do this property justice! We look forward to booking again in the near future.

Perfect stay for Holetown

A clean and spacious apartment with excellent views especially of the evening sunsets. In a quiet area and within walking distance of the supermarket and beaches of Holetown. Lovely little pool that was great to cool off in. Cyralene the housekeeper was lovely and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Location with Sea views

We stayed for 2 weeks Jan 2017 in this lovely 3 bedroom penthouse apartment which is about a 10 min walk to Limegrove the apartment had spectacular views over the sea from either the master bedroom balcony or the lounge balcony the apartment was very roomy and good value for money The owner Julie was very reachable either by email or phone . The Housekeeper Cyralene is an absolute gem very helpful and she gave us her contact N0 in case we needed help or advice . overall I would definitely recommend this property if you are staying in Holetown Barbados
