We enjoyed our stay. It accommodated our needs perfectly. It was nice to be able to have room for the whole family to enjoy meals together. The kids enjoyed the bunk beds. We would definitely stay here again.
Great location, house was very clean check in and check out was very simple. Had a slight issue with the door code at first but the property managers were quick to fix it!
The house was great for my scattered group of 12 friends to come to because we could each have our own bedroom yet comfortably hang out in the common area. The beach is an easy walk from the house and the wooded location offers privacy from neighbors. The close driving distance to Holland and activities was also a great plus for us.
Perfect home to stay at for our large group including 4 children 2 teenagers and 5 adults. We stayed for a week to attend a wedding at St. Andrews Cathedral in GR, with the reception at Boatwerks in Holland. My family from Hawaii absolutely loved it! Walking distance to Tunnel Park, fire pit and grill. Loved it!
We had 14 people, including an infant and 3 year old, for a long weekend for a family reunion. The space was perfect for gathering both inside and outside. We rented a pontoon boat on Lake Macatawa one day and made great use of the grill. Lovely big kitchen, comfortable beds, sleeps a ton of people comfortable, spotlessly clean, well furnished.
I highly recommend this property and we all hope to come back again!
We really loved our stay here. We had five families represented (15 bodies), and each room had plenty of space for us. Plus the house was large enough that it didn’t feel like we were on top of each other the whole time. Location was perfect with Tunnel Park so close for beach time and nightly sunset views. The house had everything we needed too. Upstairs did get warm like others have said but we did fine. Front porch and fire pit were extra perks too. We would 100% stay again!

Nice
The house was in a great location, very close to beaches. The private path to Tunnel Park beach was convenient and it was an easy bike ride to Holland State Park. The house itself was average. We had 5 adults and it didn’t feel very spacious. The outdoor areas including the backyard patio could use a little TLC. The inside was ok, like a 3 star hotel, nothing fancy. Many windows in the house didn’t work and/or didn’t have screens. I like to open windows when it’s cool and we weren’t able to do that. The freezer was mostly unusable due to ice build up.
Overall we enjoyed our time at this property. With just a few tweaks, it could be even better:
-the WiFi was spotty. We didn’t report this to the owners because we were trying to keep kids off their screens anyway ;) it wasn’t a huge issue for us but if someone is trying to work from the home, it could be difficult for them.
-it would have been nice if there were some paper towels. We ended up getting some from the store, but figured that would be a helpful thing to have onsite already. We left some for the next group 👍
-the fire pit was listed on the amenities but didn’t have any firewood. Again, we could get our own but it was our opinion that having one bundle to start with would have been nice.
- there were some check out instructions posted on the wall that were slightly different than those given in email. We did the best we could with that and hopefully it won’t be an issue.
Overall, the house was good and we ended up having a nice weekend and consider this property a good value. The issues we had were nothing major - just small things to be aware of, not reasons not to stay there. Thanks to the owners!
I rented this for my four adult children and their families. Everyone loved the location and thought the open kitchen / dining / living area was nice. The kitchen had everything we needed. The deck was a great extra space to sit and relax and had some nice cushioned furniture. The charging stations found in a few bedrooms were a nice touch.
We traveled with 6 young children, all under the age of three. So if you have very young children you may want to bring a few items. We brought a baby gate to put at the bottom of the steps to keep the one year old children from playing on the stairs. One member of the family brought a portable high chair because the bench at the table is difficult for seating toddlers. Also, the slats in the deck railing are far enough apart for a small child to fit through. We had to keep a close eye to make sure none of the children fell through.
The temperature was not consistent throughout the house. The top floor was very warm and one of the bedrooms had windows that would not open. The basement was very cool - which no one seemed to mind. The shower on the top floor did not work but will be repaired when the parts arrive. We could still use it as a half bath. Also, some of the doors stuck so opening and closing doors could be noisy.
The close proximity to Tunnel Park was beneficial. We found a path through the woods and were able to walk to the beach. You can’t beat this location! We would stay again if the group was no larger.
We needed more sleeping space for our family Christmas gathering. Worked perfect and only 3 miles from the grandparents.

Great place for families
6 adults 7 kids stayed for a week. Was great for the family. Super close to the beach and the house was big enough for everyone, plus the backyard was very nice at night with the fire pit
Perfect spot for a reunion of friends! Had all of the amenities we needed, good beds for everyone, a beautiful firepit/yard, and to top it all off a perfect location. Walking distance to the beach and a quick drive to get into town. Loved staying there!

Clean and spacious
The property was perfect for our needs. It was clean and spacious enough for the five of us to enjoy our our reunion time. The large kitchen was open to the living and dining areas so we were always together yet we each had our own private space in one of five large bedrooms. We did the one mile walk to the lake beach to watch a sunset and it was beautiful. Thank you for a lovely place to stay.
Idyllic location for walking to the beach. Quiet neighborhood. Adequate space for a large family. Clean. Comfortable. Good communication with hosts about problems that arose. Would stay again!
Our stay in Holland was very nice, and the house was a great size for the family. The location near Tunnel Park is wonderful, and the kitchen was spacious and well-equipped. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Perfect property on the north side of Macatawa Bay for 2 families attending an event at Macatawa Bay Yacht Club.
we had a wonderful time, The only thing I feel was misrepresented is the 'short walk to the beach" (I don't really remember the actual wording used) but it was a bit much with a baby and a toddler, you have to walk thru a little wooded area, then cross a street, walk down a little farther, then thru a parking lot and then there are a bunch of stairsteps to actually get down on the beach. I was pleased to see family games were there, My grandchildren love board games over all it was a FANTASTIC COUPLE OF DAYS and we all really enjoyed the house!!!
