"Beautiful location with large rooms looking over Grassmere lake. The decor is clean fresh with great choice of colours. Super king bed was very comfortable and room temperature perfect. The artwork on all the walls is enjoyable and like being in a private gallery. Staff were all very informative and friendly, Ronny in the restaurant was particularly great. The food choice for breakfast is plentiful and although dinner menu small the food is beautifully prepared and presented. My only personal comment is that it would have been nice to have included a side of vegetables in the price rather than as an extra. Housekeeping spot on. The spa is spacious with thermal pool ( not really for swimming) sauna and steam room . Lovely after a day of activities. The grounds are well maintained and terrace provides a sunny location to relax and enjoy the views, or if feeling active you can access the lake for a cold water dip or launch your kayak ."

"Beautiful hotel with friendly staff and a great breakfast. It was a shame the steam room and showers in the hydrotherapy pool weren’t working but it didn’t spoil our stay. The hot tub on the patio made up for it. Would definitely return."
