"Lovely cosy cottage with gorgeous views. Owner was really friendly checking we’d settled in ok. Great location (as long as you have car) to get to nearby towns and attractions. Shame there wasn’t a pub within walking distance (as the road was too risky to walk on at night), however, the food and staff at the local pub in Yetholm (approx 1.5mile) were lovely and welcoming and food great! The only criticism I’d have of the cottage is that the bathroom and some decor could do with updating, however...

Wander a short distance out into the centre of Alnwick to browse round the multitude of artisan shops and stop for a drink in one of the welcoming pubs. Return for an excellent meal followed by a nightcap in the cozy bar. The only minor downside is the number of steps from the car park to reception although luggage can be dropped off at reception before parking your car. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
