"food was so good that they often ran out. Washers and driers were available gym as well stocked. Weirdly, we had to leave a deposit for pool towels at the front desk. That was slightly inconvenient. Overall though beautiful new clean lovely hotel."

"This hotel has never let me down. The restaurant food is delicious. They offer breakfast and dinner and I highly recommend BOTH! The kitchen staff is so friendly. The reception staff are also friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and had all the necessary amenities. It's a very quiet place to sleep. I took advantage of the fitness room during my 4 day stay. Just perfect. The reason for the 4/5 score for the 'condition of the property' is because only one of two elevators was working and the interior stairs did not have an entry/exit into the lobby. I would have gladly used the stairs to go up and down but ending up outside the building wasn't really convenient. It will be much better once the second elevator is back in business. I still highly recommend this hotel."

"This is the second time we have stayed in this house. It was perfect as for us as a large group visiting Kitchener to play in the KW Oldtimers hockey tournament. Mike and Sara were very responsive to any questions before and during our stay. The house is well taken care of, the beds were comfortable and the house was stocked with the basics we needed for the weekend. (shower towels, tea towels, sugar, coffee, paper towels and toilet paper, dishwasher tabs) There is a nice open concept kitchen dining/living room that accommodated our group of 12 well. We had everything we needed for cooking breakfast (adequate dishes, glasses, mugs, cutlery & frying pans etc). We were out for lunch and brought in food at dinner b/c of the hockey schedule. I'm sure if we are back in Kitchener we will stay here again! We did need an extra parking space b/c of our large group but it was easy to go online to the City of Kitchener website to request a "parking exemption" for overnight street parking. "I am rather disappointed with Expedia and the management of this hotel. I wasn't able to access anyone to give me proper information and directions to the location initially, only useless ai chat bots. I couldn't get either Expedia or verbo to connect me with anyone there at the location. Both said the other party was responsible and couldn't get a clear direction to arrive safely. My party drove across the border and it put great stress on us. I prepaid for my intended stay. I shouldn't have. I have yet to be contacted by the staff as to why I didn't check in obviously . I was told by doon village property management that nothing could be done. I am now out the cost. This was an emergency booking. I was forced to book last minute at a motel. It was not expected. "
