Lumi Nalu, which translates to 'the surf room,' is a one-bedroom condo with a beautifully furnished living room that offers an oceanfront view of the surf. Watch sailboats and surfers frolic in the water from your cushy sofa or sit on the windowsill to feel trade winds blow through. This Gold Coast gem includes air conditioning for cooler moments and sits near top restaurants but far enough from it all.

Lumi Nalu, translated, means 'the surf room.' Look out in either direction from the main living room in this one bedroom condo and see the surf as it breaks. Watch the surfers and sailboats frolic in the water. Sit on the cushy sofa and gaze out at the ocean, cityscape, park, and mountains.
The beautifully furnished, living room includes imported, Indonesian, dark-wood, plantation-style furniture, flat screen TV and dining table for 2. (To link to our website and see more photos and get more information, make sure and click the 'Click Here - Diamond Head Oceanfront Condos' link below.)
Open the windows on each side of Lumi Nalu and feel the comforting trade winds as they gently blow through the condo. A unique feature of the building is that each floor is only one unit wide, so getting a cooling cross breeze year-round is accomplished by opening windows on each side of the unit. Of course, air conditioning is provided for those seeking the 'ultra cool' experience.
Experience one of Oahu's most desired locations, the 'Gold Coast.' Home to awesome restaurants, the Gold Coast is near everything but away from it all!

This unit has great views of the mountains, Diamond Head, and the ocean. Located on the outskirts of Waikiki, just close enough to enjoy a scenic walk through Kapiolani park, yet far enough where the crowd is minimal to none. The unit’s bedroom was comfortable with lots of storage with a powerful air conditioner., and functional kitchen. We stay here annually and will have continued to choose staying here!
Perfect location for our inter-island getaway to run the half marathon. Also right on the concrete walkway that goes along the water. Brought my foil-board and jumped right in feet from the unit.
Great neighborhood right on the outskirts of Waikiki. Unit is dated and could use a remodel but we expected that and the price, location and kitchen makes up for it.
This is an amazing 1 bedroom with scenic ocean and Mountain View’s. Located far enough from the noise and crowd of tourists but close enough to walk to Waikiki. Cool trade winds with lanai screen doors minimizes the need for air conditioning. Amenities present including private beachfront to watch the sunset. Mark, the property manager, kept in close communication with accurate details to the check in process. We were even able to check in early. We had a great stay here and look forward to staying here again.
Host was great, as was location, size & amenities. The issues were the souled carpet/rugs and the sofa broken down. Sitting on a hard metal bar. Towels were just right & kitchen utensils were good.
Nice small property with a convenient view to the ocean and city. It is an aged building and lacks modern touches, but it is worth it for the view and being fairly close to the beach. Worth it if don’t want to spend tons of money in other higher end hotels.
We love this location and property management! Patrick is the best. Always so helpful. Condo space was wonderful. If I had to say anything for improvement, maybe provide dishwasher detergent. It was nice to have the dishwasher. Otherwise - awesome!!!!
This place is filthy ripped stained carpets look like a body was dragged in and out if the bedroom. Dingy dark broken down worn out are the words that come to mind when staying at this unit. People rated the apt based on the view but who cares a out the view when you cant tale off your shoes because your afraid to get a disease from the fikthy filthy carpets and floors . Manager not responsive we arrived to a broken sofa and they tried to ignore us . I had to track down his personal email address to het a new sofa delivered. Horrible horrible experience .
Nice and quiet location. Parking was good and free at the park after 6pm to 10am the next week. The unit seems to need a deep cleaning and updates but other than that it's comfortable. We loved the view, so gorgeous. Mahalo for the good time!

Great Location Great View- Exactly as described
10th floor overlooking Waikiki with view of mountains as well. Walking distance to all Waikiki locations and very short drive to Diamond Head. Place was clean and well stocked. Having a parking spot was a major advantage. We loved it!
Very good view. Place needs a major update for the cost of rental.
Nice view, excellent location, needs major updating of kitchen, flooring, and furniture.

Great location for exploring the island
We were spoilt and given 701, two bedrooms with a wonderful wrap-around lanai overlooking the ocean. Ideal for morning coffees and evening drinks. The location within walking distance of the beaches is also great for exploring the island. We were happy to have paid extra for onsite parking. The kitchen was fully stocked and we prepared some meals there. The unit was clean and comfortable if a little dated. We had a wonderful time exploring Oahu from here, thank you Mark.

A nice place to stay on Oahu
The apartment is just as pictured. It's about a mile from central Waikiki, an easy walk via the park. Quieter, away from the crowds, and after 10pm, the traffic noises give way to birds and waves. Parking the rental car across the street was no problem. The nearest beach was excellent for easy swimming and snorkeling. The apartment was well equipped and met all our needs. We appreciate David who was on site to answer our questions.

Super Stay at Diamond Head Beach Hotel #1002
We stayed for a week for Christmas 2016. The room was available as soon as we arrived in Honolulu, several hours before check-in time. The condo is fully furnished with everything we needed for the week. We went to Safeway (888 Kapahulu Ave) on our first day to buy meals to prepare in the condo. The beach is a short walk away and is much more enjoyable than the busy areas around the Royal Hawaiian and Sheraton resorts. Getting into the center of Waikiki was a nice 15 minute walk or about $8 via Uber.
We visit our daughter and always stay at this property. The view from this unit is a 10. The apartment itself is very very dated. The rugs and toilet seat are ratty. Bedroom carpet dark from dirt. It really wouldnt really cost much to replace rugs, toilet seat and paint trim. It also needs a deep clean. I wiped alot of dust particles off kitchen ceiling. Lots of dust. Splatters on wall. I'm a clean freak though. I wouldn't stay in this unit again unless they updated those things.

A great Honolulu find!
We stayed here from 10/31/17 till 11/5/17 and had a wonderful time. The condo is neat, clean and has everything you could possibly need. The location was perfect for us...with easy access to Diamond Head, beaches, snorkeling and the north shore. It’s also within walking distance of restaurants and Waikiki. The President’s visit cut short our time downtown because of the required highway closures.
The washer and dryer are coin operated in the parking garage...oh yea, pay for the parking spot, it’s worth it!
My only negative comment is that the decor could use a little updating but really...we were only in the condo to sleep and for breakfast!
Thank you Mark...you guys were great too!
Great location and nice views. Friendly hosts and unit had everything I needed. Thank you!!

Liked: Communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Old and smelled dirty
Good location in Diamond Head area, on the ocean. Swimming at calm beach in front of Kaimana Beach hotel, 6+ properties toward Waikiki or off ladder from bulkhead 2 properties away from Waikiki (often too rough).
We've stayed in this exact unit more than once. 10-12 years ago, it was lovely. However, now it needs a lot of TLC. We love the location, but the unit needs a new sofa, paint, etc. The "grass" flooring needs to be fixed (sewn together) or replaced. Some of the wood is a little sticky. Not sure if we'd choose this one again or try another one.

Basic rental in good location
Nicely located near but not in Waikiki, the apartment is small and in need of a serious upgrade --furniture is shabby, mattress is comfy but too big for its platform, water damage on the bathroom ceiling, threadbare floor mats/carpeting, paint-damaged wood floors,1960's style noisy in-window AC units etc. The "ocean view" is exactly as shown - through surrounding hi rise buildings and directly over the roof of a low-rise building that is illuminated most of the night-- and there is no balcony for the unit. Downstairs there is access to a shared lanai and narrow seawall, but no direct beach access. The building has no real amenities (pay laundry!) and I rarely saw anyone present at the lobby management desk. I would say best use of this place is for a couple or individual who plan to be out and about all day and cook at home every meal, as the kitchen is well equipped and the location is good for walking into Waikiki, hiking Diamond Head and driving out of town. If you are looking for a place to chill, read, daydream and lose yourself in the sound/smell/ feeling of the ocean during the day, this space is not for you. I love Hawaii and have had lots of great visits to the islands, but this isn't an accommodation I'd return to. A hotel room in the same price range would probably have been a smarter move.
I also note that the guest experience was simply not up to the usual great experience I've come to expect from my other stays in VRBOs around the world. Maybe it's because this one is run by a mgmt company rather than an actual owner. The company's "guest host" met me on the street (after a 15 minute wait outside the locked gate, even though I followed the instructions to call when I landed and when I was halfway there), let me in and handed me a welcome notebook. He was perfectly pleasant, but anxious to get finished and hit the road, so when i called the property mgr Mark to ask some follow-up questions (after my very long travel day, I needed to clarify a couple of things that I had missed during the whirlwind intro), he made it abundantly clear that he was annoyed that I called him, and that I was interrupting his busy evening. Maybe he was having a bad night, but that was my only contact with him or anyone else at the property during my week-long stay.
