Room was clean and modern. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside was the elevators were horribly slow to arrive, but that is minor, plus one of the three was out of service, so that did not help. Overall I would recommend this property for your vacation stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the Royal Kuhio. I have been travelling to Waikiki for over 20 years with my Gran but this was our first time renting our own place. The rooms were clean and supplied everything we needed. I was especially happy about the number of pillows and towels we were supplied with. The location is great for us as we have stayed on the same street and it is close to shopping centres and the beach. I would definitely stay here again.

The apartments have bugs and they place a note at the fridge door telling that it’s ok because the tropical area. No it’s not ok for me wakes up and turn the kitchen on to have breakfast and see roaches all over the counter. I purchased bread and cereal and it was waisted because the bugs they said it’s ok. Than I complained about and they sent someone to spray but we had to be out of the unit. It was a bad stay experience for me. I couldn’t sleep for the rest of the days thinking about the bugs all over my stuffs.

Great central location to Oahu. Close to night life but noisy. Nice pool and painting is happening to building. VI staff were friendly and helpful but building staff not so much.

Vi resorts at royal kuhio.Construction daily at7am on patio. Wouldnt check us in on first night forcing us to sleep at other hotel No refund. Left notice on door telling us departure date 3 days early. Hair in shower and around bathroom upon arrival. Clogged coil in ac hardly worked. Old furniture.poor customer service. Would not recommend. .

I loved how there was a kitchen and a balcony and accessibility to everything. And most especially the complimentary parking for our vehicle. Fantastic place!

Great condos and stay!!!
Everything here was so great! Convenient and we really liked the gated community and the parking included. The rooms were perfect size for family of 4. The corner units have the bathroom separate from the bedroom this works best with older children and privacy.

Highly recommended
I've stayed at Royal Kuhio multiple times and I already have another reservation. Building is safe, well maintained and clean. Centrally located, right in the heart of Waikiki. A block away from the International Market Place. Front desk staff in friendly and professional. Onsite gym and pool are nice to have. Coin-operated laundry facility is on the 7th floor. Free parking is a huge bonus!

Overall we had a good experience. Check in was smooth. Room and amenities were as expected. Sofa bed was not very comfortable. TV and Wi-Fi quality could have been better but was workable. Wish shampoo and conditioner available.

I like that it feels safe because there is security guard 24 hours but I did not like that there's not much direction or communication where like to put throw out the trash.

It is a very nice place. Very secure, having to need a fob to open doors & security in the lobby. Free parking was the best. Plenty of parking spaces so we had no problems. The cable was great. Not like most hotels. The cons are no maid service AT ALL! You get one free coffee & $1 if you want more. When you check out is when they hang on the door, instructions before you leave. You have to throw away all the trash in the trash bin and the recycle in the recycle bin. You have to load the dish washer with the dishes you used. The bathroom. Is in the bedroom so if you travel with a couple, it is inconvenient to use the bathroom when they close the door. All in all, it’s a nice place but too many rules makes it hard to feel comfortable and relaxed.

I loved the location of the property the most. It is close to everything-restaurants, shopping, entertainment, etc. My room was clean and very spacious. The only concern that I had was the linen on the bed (sheets). I could tell that they had been washed; however, they had stains on them. No problem changing them out I would definitely stay there again when visiting Honolulu

I enjoyed staying at the Royal Kuhio and would definitely stay here again. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. The location worked so well. I was able to walk to the beach and shopping and restaurants in the area. The only issues I had was the construction. So there was some loud noise a couple of days and the hot tub was close and the billiards room was closed. Other than those small details everything was perfect.

It's not the Royal Hawaiian folks but for the money and location it was awesome. We felt safe and it was within walking distance of everything downtown. The room was clean and everything came in handy. The kitchen, bed and parking were a great plus. Yes the parking was included so just that alone saves hundreds of dollars to go to Dukes and get a great meal on the run. I will stay again when staying downtown.

The property was much nicer than expected. Ouf room appeared to have been recently renovated. Also, we had a beautiful city view with Diamond Head in the background, as well as ocean views from the balcony. We were not expecting a view from the room considering it was described as an “interior” room. I had anticipated some kind of interior courtyard view. The area pool was very nice and the size of the parking spaces in the parking structure are much larger than most spaces in the various Waikiki parking lots. We would definitely stay here again.

If you don’t have a car, it’s a simple 10 minute walk to town for all your shopping needs. The trolley bas stop was 5 mins away. The host left a variety of local gifts for us which was lovely. Because the apartment is on the ground floor and if you’re home during the day you will need a light on. But not a problem as you’L be out enjoying the beaches.

We stayed here for 14 nights, was a great location for us, handy for the shops, the beach, bus stop right outside. Such a great location. We loved that there was a pool and sun loungers available, we used these most days. A laundry room full of washing machines & dryers was useful as well. Security was on the desk all day / night.
