The home and grounds are lovely. We especially loved the front porch with rockers and the large kitchen/dining area. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a great stay.
Wonderful house for a group of friends to gather. Well-stocked kitchen and comfortable dining and living spaces to gather inu, as well as beautiful bedrooms and enough bathrooms to accommodate a large group and give everyone a private place to retreat to. We had an amazing time there and will be back!
Wonderful outdoor area with peaceful, quiet space and wonderful views. Wraparound porch with rockers relaxing. In the heart of Hood River orchards and the famous Fruit Loop.
This home is lovely in every way! The rustic, yet updated, feel of the interior is warm and inviting. The grounds are amazing with the fruit trees amongst the 2 mountain views! We enjoyed the front porch with all the rocking chairs. Truly a perfect weekend.
We rented the house for our family when we came to the area for a family wedding. It worked our great! Beautiful location, perfect set up for a large group and clean!!
Can’t wait to come back!
We were two families staying while our kids did ski camp over the Holidays. House was great. Kitchen is beyond well stocked and we made some fantastic meals. Plenty of room, warm and cozy and we even had a visit from Santa and Ms Clause bc the Holiday train was running. It was great in the winter and we all commented it would be even better in Summer when the orchard was leafed out!
Great stay in an awesome location. The house is tucked into an apple orchard just a couple minutes off the highway and very close to town. The house is beautiful and there's plenty of space for parking multiple vehicles. Owner is friendly and responsive and happy to help out in any way. Really enjoyed our time here. Will definitely stay again.
Beautiful home for family gathering. Fantastic views of Hood and Adams. The roads around it offer great morning walks among the local orchards. The remodeling of the home is impressive. Just a great place.
Loved porch sitting in between running back and forth to wedding venue up the road-awesome!

Highly highly recommended
The house is well taken care of. It was very clean and well stocked. You can tell the owners pay close attention to detail. On a road trip, I usually bring my own towel because most times hotel towels are not great. The towels at this place were just as good as the one I brought. This is just an example of the many good quality amenities that this home supplied. I will definately seek to rent again. Loved it.

Lovely Home in Nice Location
We had a girls' getaway at Storybook Glade. The home is charming and historic. The beds were great and the kitchen is well equipped. Lots of games and puzzles for rainy days. For the not-so-rainy days, the home is within walking distance of the Gorge White House (check for opening days/times), The Fruit Company, and the Mt. Hood Winery. The Mt. Hood Railway goes right past the front of the house. The owners and Evolve were responsive and easy to work with. The property should be beautiful when it's time for the trees in the surrounding orchard to blossom. I am a travel advisor, and I would not hesitate to recommend this home to clients.
This is a beautiful historical property! We booked this house and another up Fir Mountain Road for a family of 20, ages 88 down to 3 months old. This house does not allow dogs, so we ended up having most of our main meals at the other house. We had leisurely mornings in the kitchen and living area. The front room is very cozy! The views of Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood are spectacular! It was decorated for Christmas and we were given complimentary tickets to the Christmas Train, which rolled right past the house.
I would rent this house again, but think it might be hot in the summer as there were some drafty areas. There are crisp white cotton linens on the beds. Bathrooms were very clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. If you don't like Keurig, bring your own maker, there is not a regular coffee pot. Also, we do lots of cooking, and the one chef's knife was quite dull.
Our stay at Storybook Glade was a delightful one. The house is beautiful and well appointed for a large group of people. We loved being smack dab in the orchards and the train running just in front of the house was a thrill for the grandkids! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for cooking. We use the grill out in the back and dined outside enjoying the beautiful views of the mountain until the sun began setting, then we all moved to the front porch rocking chairs to be awed by the gorgeous sunsets!
Loved this property. The home is charming with plenty of space and a nice area to sit outside. The location is spectacular, settled in the vineyards and snow on Mt Hood in the distance.
The home was large enough for my family, and my brother's family as well. We were 4 and our 5 children, (mainly grown) between us.
The kitchen was very well equipped, although we didn't
cook at the home, aside from breakfast, as we were in town for our niece's wedding.
I would highly recommend.
We stayed for our daughters wedding. StiryBook Glade was a perfect retreat!!!

Great Home! Location! Mountain Views!
Our daughter got married at Mountain View Orchards and this home was a great home base for the weekend of wedding activities. The home has everything you could need! We really enjoyed our Storybook Glade
Home was very comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Perfect for a group of 10 people ages 5 to 78. Kids played in the yard and adults walked over to the winery for wine tasting. Very convenient to Hood River. And we loved the apple sauce. Thanks for the stay.
A couple of girlfriends and I came out for some R&R and it's safe to say none of us ever wanted to leave! We were certain there had to be a catch - this home couldn't possibly be as good as it looked - but it really exceeded expectations in nearly every way. An absolute GEM and I definitely hope to be back!
The only TINY thing we noticed was the TV shut off a few times while we were playing a game on our switch, maybe it was overheating? But we were not there to watch TV so it's still 10's across the board from us!!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!
Convenient spot for Mt Hood skiing.
I guess it wasn’t emphasized that the house is next door to local apple mill. Which doesn’t make a spectacular view from half of the house.
This was a fantastic place to stay! The house had plenty of room for two families of four. It was well stocked with all the dishes and cooking items we could need and the kids loved the collecting of games in the family room. We came out for a ski weekend and were pleased with the drive to Mt. Hood and it was only a short drive into Hood River too. We were there for the holiday train and barely noticed it coming through. All in all it was so much fun, a cute house and great owners.

Blissful farmhouse in orchard with views
We had a great time at StoryBook Glade. It was hot and smoky so it took a couple of days for us to see all of the mountains. Once things cleared it was beautiful! The AC units kept the house comfortable and the kitchen offered everything we needed for preparing delicious meals to accompany the fine wines we collected from area wineries. Plenty of wineglasses was much appreciated! I will never forget sitting on the porch in a line of rocking chairs enjoying morning coffee or watching sunset with my dear friends.
A perfect gathering place!
I rented this home for a long weekend reunion with a group of friends. The property is beautiful, comfortable, clean, and spacious. It was centrally located and a close drive to many of the sites we visited. Our group cooked and grilled a few meals at the home, and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools and dish ware. Additionally, the hosts were friendly and responsive.
My friends and I had a fantastic time in Hood River, and we can't recommend this home enough!
Perfectly located for river and mountain activities!
Fabulous property that our whole family loved! It was sparkling clean, extremely well appointed , and very comfortable. Every detail was thought of by the owners. The adults loved eating outside at the huge table and kids loved all the space to enjoy and play. The views were spectacular! We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. Hope we can come again soon. Thank you for making it so perfect.
As for the property and location the house is gorgeous the bedrooms are very large and it’s in a quiet neighborhood. There is a gas station in a little store about a mile down the road. Which it was very convenient.
The view of the mountain and the fresh air is so remarkable.
The house is located about 10 miles from the organic orchard farm and 5 miles into town. Which is Hood River.
The only downfall I see is that you have to book for three days. But after researching a few of the other hotels it’s pretty. Comparable to a two day stay in Hood River.
The only thing I would urge you to really look into is the cancellation fee. We were going to cancel the house but when we paid for the insurance to cancel it was quite the ordeal so we decided to stay in the house after all.
Renter. beware on purchasing the cancellation insurance, in order to cancel the house you are required to have a letter from a doctor. So, be very certain you’re going to rent this house because refunds will take up to eight months to a year to get refunded.
I would suggest that you purchased the insurance to protect you if you have a little toddlers.
Which is a separate insurance from the cancellation insurance.
Other than that, this house is gorgeous with lots of rooms. The rental house is A different entity from the insurance that you would be purchasing. The insurance people are very difficult to deal with.
Jeff is amazing the property manager I gave him a five star and I give the house a five star thank you so much for the wonderful stay.
