Clean room, complimentary treats, fantastic beds and the decor was outstanding! Staff followed up with an email and text to see how we were doing. We LOVE this hotel! Look forward to returning when the vineyards are singing!

The hotel was a truly unique experience transporting you back in time with beautifully curated tapestries, paintings, corbels, and furniture with all the modern conveniences. The flat screen TV is even framed with an image resembling a painting. We stayed in the “Emerald Juliet” room with a sweet little balcony. It’s centrally located and you can walk to anything in downtown Hoodriver. I appreciated that the manager gave us a tour and some history of the property. If you enjoy beautiful 19th century art, then this hotel is for you.

This place is phenomenal!! The checkin process is seamless and the hosts are very communicative. The location is perfectly walkable and it comes with a parking pass. The rooms are absolutely stunning and one of a kind down to every little detail! We really appreciated the extra touch they added by going above and beyond with amenities like snacks, beverages, and toiletries. I can’t wait to come back!!

Amazing hotel

This is an amazing gem in the middle of Hood River. The room is unique and very functional. Bed is very comfortable, and adjustable for the perfect sleep experience. Complimentary snacks and beverages as well as an espresso machine in the room. The host are responsive to any questions.

“Unique” is an insufficient description for Thistledown. The hotel is over-the-top fabulous. The thematic decor provides visual candy at every turn. Yet modern amenities such as an adjustable bed, power curtains, power skylight shades and more are part of the vintage decor. The hot water takes some time to get running but they warn you about that. Fun place; highly recommended!

Thistledown on Oak is by far one of the most unique and beautiful hotels we've stayed in! We were in awe from the moment we walked in. The attention to detail and design is exceptional. Our room was stunning! They truly thought of Everything when designing and also with giving their guests the absolute best experience!

Valentines tradition

This place is absolutely amazing. We are going to make it a Valentine’s Day tradition that we come here every year. We are going to try a different room next time. We were in Griffin‘s loft this time.
