"We were in town for the Race Across Scotland - crew stayed here throughout the week, and two of us who ran it were here after we finished. Was a close drive to Cocksburnpath, and to other surrounding areas. Great spot for 4 folks, and having laundry was a huge bonus. Lovely property."

"We enjoyed our stay, it’s very cosy and is in a serene location which is very private. Would definitely return. Hot tub was great. The only things I would change is the windows could’ve been clean as it obscures the beautiful view and the festoon lights did not come on when it got dark. We weren’t able to access the WiFi - if we were staying longer that would’ve been more of an issue. The bed area is so cosy it would’ve been nice to be able to get into a Netflix series or film on an evening. ...

"This is a smashing 2 bedroomed flat, tastefully decorated and with everything at hand for a very comfortable stay. The property has its own parking space in a yard at the back with a rickety path down to a fast flowing stream of water attractive and dangerous to my Spaniel.... The only inconvenience was the walk down the road to a place suitable for my Dog to do his business. Other than that it's a winner."

"The property was good, upside down property, set in a lovely harbour town. Locals friendly. Amazing ice cream shop. The attached fish and chip shop was very busy too. Parking was roadside, not guaranteed, opposite the property. We arrived at the end of the Herring Queen Festival, which was packed out. We struggled to even unload, but obviously that wasn't something we knew about prior to booking. After that had finished, parking wasn't really a problem. A few niggles with property but it didn't...

"Lovely cosy cottage with gorgeous views. Owner was really friendly checking we’d settled in ok. Great location (as long as you have car) to get to nearby towns and attractions. Shame there wasn’t a pub within walking distance (as the road was too risky to walk on at night), however, the food and staff at the local pub in Yetholm (approx 1.5mile) were lovely and welcoming and food great! The only criticism I’d have of the cottage is that the bathroom and some decor could do with updating, however...

She gave us a lot of information about dining options in the area and information about taking the local train (we were taking a train to London the next day). "The room was fantastic with a bay window high up overlooking the street. It was well furnished with a very comfortable bed and we had a great nights sleep. The only downside was the bathroom which was 'compact' (not really a problem) but the shower did not work well in that that it never got beyond just above cold and had a miserable trickle of water. We spoke to staff before leaving and they were appalled that this had happened and were going to get it looked at. Overall, very happy to stay there again."
